Leather and Lace - Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks - Philadelphia 4/5/11

The big news out of Philadelphia last night was the change to the setlist where "Passion" was dropped and replaced with "Leather and Lace". Here's one video of the duet.

Not bad.... Love the way Stevie harmonizes on this actually... They need a little practice you can tell, but pretty good for a first run.

  1. Fantastic! Rod needs to loosen up a wee bit more, that'll make Stevie feel a little better about singing a song she probably never in a million years thought Rod Stewart would take the place of Tom Petty... glad to see their changing it up. Truth be told, the somewhat quirky awkwardness could've been taken care of if Rod would've only agreed to rehearse more from the beginning. But then again, this is two timeless, Big-Time Rock & Roll Stars in their Sixties!... still doing it their own way... old school... Loving it!!! You don't get that anymore...

  2. I liked it better than I thought I would. Stevie sang the high harmony part that Don Henely usually sings and let Rod do the melody. I liked that. Rod did say in an interview that he didn't know how to sing harmony. I wondered how then they would pull off L&L. They did though. The need a little practice but nice Job overall. I sound like an American Idol judge. although much better than the current ones. -Mark

  4. Sounds good, Rod is a bit nervous(not sure if this man gets nervous!) or reading from a teleprompter. By the way 1st anonymous, stevie sang this with Don Henley originally :)

  5. Stevie hates Rod and is being professional. You can tell she gets annoyed by his antics. She actually could learn a lesson or 2 from him and loosen up!

  6. To ALL:: We were at The Garden last night and WOW what a show. Rod was terrific, the BEST I ever seen him. And Nicks Was terrific too. Some guys have all the luck, some guys have all the fame, some guys have all the girls... Can't get the songs out of my head. Joe Aquino
