Stevie Nicks Revisits 'Beautiful and Crazy' '70s for 'Secret Love' -- Video Premiere

"Sparkly and eerie and kinda creepy" is how Stevie Nicks describes her video for 'Secret Love,' the first single from her first solo album in 10 years, 'In Your Dreams,' due out May 3. It features younger and older versions of Stevie Nicks, a white horse, a sinister photographer and ghostly appearances and disappearances -- clearly the singer who calls her publishing company Welsh Witch is back and in good form.

    Dave sure did pull together the nostalgia for the fans. I love it. A little bit of Gypsy in the woods, baton twirling ala Tusk and of course Rhiannon hat and cape spinning.

    This video is very "Stevie", I love the clips of "reality" mixed into the dreamlike fantasy of the video. Having Mick in the video was just a great bonus!

    Looks like they mixes the footage Dave Stewart shot last year at Stevie's Pacific Palisades home with what they shot this year on a soundstage. That staircase is from her home. And the stuff shot outide also. She looks good, but it's odd watching some other young woman wearing Stevie's Rhiannon outfit with the chiffon wings and her boots on.

    Now let's hope and pray it isn't too late for the song, and that VH1 will play it (even thought they mostly only play them on their top 20 countdown).

    Why on earth doesn't Stevie wear these beautiful gowns onstage instead of that horrible petticoat skirt and those awful shoes with the leather stitched up her legs? She could wear comfortable shoes underneath these long gowns and look so much better. On stage this year she looks like an old greatgrandmother straight out of a nursing home.

    I guess I'm in the minority. It was a good effort, but lacks quality. The costumes Stevie wears are great, the flashbacks are nice (baton), but it jumps all over the place and has no cohesiveness. It's just not a very good video.
