Congratulations to Stevie Nicks and all of Fleetwood Mac!
Stevie Nicks' "In Your Dreams" -- her first studio album since 2001's No. 5-peaking "Trouble In Shangri-La," enters at No. 6 with 52,000. It's the Fleetwood Mac member's fifth top 10 on her own and seventh solo studio
Right outside the top 10 is Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album "Rumours," which re-enters at No. 11 with just under 30,000 (up 1,951%) thanks to exposure gleaned from the May 3 episode of Fox TV's "Glee," which dedicated its entire hour to the album. Of its almost 30,000 haul last week, a full 91% were downloads. The week previous, the set sold just over 1,000 total copies. This is the highest re-entry for an album since the Rolling Stones' "Exile On Main St." was reissued and came back on the list at No. 2 on June 5, 2010.

Congrats Stevie--this is awesome. Great reviews, a top 10 debut, a top 20 single and most importantly, a beautful cd tthat is one if not the best of your career.
Naysayers may whine about copies sold, but it is all relative to the industry and circumstance of the year.
Too bad the sizzle reel wasn't used as a commercial during Glee...could been top 3 debut.
The tears of blood and gnashing of teeth from the cyber bashers begins in...3...2....1...
Sales are a relative measure of success and the #6 debut is superb. Whether #6 equates to 200,000 copies or 52,000 copies is irrelevant. It's still the objective standard used by the recording industry to quantify success. The problems of the recording industry are another matter. IN YOUR DREAMS is a hit with fans and critics and will take on its own life and its own commercial trajectory. Let it go. The important thing is that we have fantastic new music and a revitalized Stevie to enjoy. That can't be quantified.
When you see what the other people sold and the numbers are for the top 20, it really shows the recording industry sucks. Only the top 3 really are doing well. In the old days, they would 5 or 6 on the charts. Still, IYD only sold less than half of what TISL. It's a shame she is not a country artist. They are the only people that really support older artists. Reba's last album even went platinum. Of course, she is not really a songwriter. This is Stevie's last album for sure now, and I'm sure she will not tour.
Great news! I do wish that the promo reel could be widdled down to a 30 second commercial, it's so well done and so stunning. It would certainly add to sales, but I know advertising doesn't come cheap.
Actually, Reba's last album 'All the Women I am' debuted at #7 on the billboard 200 and didn't go platinum or gold for that matter. It was released in November 2010.
Stevie and Fleetwood Mac don't need to sell albums to make money. The big money comes from touring, She is definitely going to tour, hopefully 3,500 - 4,000 capacity theaters with great acoustics instead of larger out-door venues (or sheds). Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Melissa Etheridge etc. played Boston's Wang Theater in the past year. Capacity: 3,500. Aretha didn't sell out, neither did Mariah. Janet, just barely. Stevie can fill that place. Pat Benatar and Heart sell fewer records than Stevie, and have less radio play, but they are consistent touring acts and does well. The negativity coming from some so called fans is more irritating than any trend in music. Being so negative isn't helping anything or anyone and it certainly isn't going to help Stevie.
For a "fan", thewildheart has consistently been very quick to call Stevie's career "over" on multiple occasions. That's very transparent.
YAY!! Way to go Stevie!! I dont care what the billboard chart says....In Your Dreams is a fantastic collection of Stevies new songs.I know she is touring for this cd and I hope we are lucky enough to see her in CINCI.I never miss an opportunity to see her LIVE.Stevie is a force like a blazing fire!! Burn my house down, baby. Stevie Rocks!!!!!
I am very, very proud of Stevie Nicks. She could have said, ya know what? I'm exhausted from touring w Fleetwood Mac since '03 and I need a break - but no. She kicked out one of the best LP's of her CAREER! UNSTOPPABLE~ Go Stevie, GO!!!
