Big Mac Week on Glee: Fleetwood Mac's 1977 classic "Rumours", one of the longest-running #1 albums ever (with 31 weeks on top), celebrates its one-year mark on the Catalog chart with its first week at #1, coming straight in at that position. This is its first week on the Catalog chart since July 2009, and its Billboard 200 position of #11 is the highest a catalog album has been on the Billboard 200 this year. The longest-running Fleetwood Mac catalog album, "Greatest Hits", also returns to the top 10 this week. These sales are the result of exposure of the "Rumours" album on the "Glee" TV series, and it doesn't hurt (and is probably no coincidence) that Mac member Stevie Nicks comes out with a new solo set this week, "In Your Dreams", entering at #6 on the Billboard 200. "Rumours" pulled a solid 30K of sales, mostly digital downloads.

Billboard Magazine
GOING BACK AGAIN: The "Glee" cast extends its Hot 100 record to 142 chart entries, as it debuts five of its six covers from the series' May 3 episode that paid tribute to Fleetwood Mac's opus "Rumours."
Three of the TV troupe's remakes had charted originally as Fleetwood Mac singles in 1977: "Go Your Own Way" (No. 45 by the "Glee" cast/No. 10 by Fleetwood Mac), "Don't Stop" (No. 79 by the "Glee" cast/No. 3 by Fleetwood Mac) and "Dreams" (No. 92 by the "Glee" cast/No. 1 by Fleetwood Mac).
Two "Rumours" tracks make their first Hot 100 visits courtesy of the "Glee" singers: "Songbird" (No. 68) and "Never Going Back Again" (No. 81). The other "Rumours" cut that the ensemble updated, "I Don't Want to Know," just misses the Hot 100, bowing at No. 1 on its Bubbling Under chart.
"Rumours" spent 31 weeks - the most for an album by a group - atop the Billboard 200 in 1977-78. The set, certified 19x-Platinum by the RIAA, concurrently re-enters the survey at No. 11.
NICKS OF TIME: One of Fleetwood Mac's own helps prevent "Rumours" from ranking in the Billboard 200's top 10, as Stevie Nicks' "In Your Dreams" bows at No. 6.
The set is the fifth of Nicks' seven studio albums to reach the Billboard 200's top tier:
Peak Position, Title, Peak Year
No. 1 (one week), "Bella Donna," 1981
No. 5, "The Wild Heart," 1983
No. 12, "Rock a Little," 1986
No. 10, "The Other Side of the Mirror," 1989
No. 45, "Street Angel," 1994
No. 5, "Trouble in Shangri-La," 2001
No. 6, "In Your Dreams," 2011
