This is incredible...I don't recall Stevie getting so much international publicity (and love) in a long time....What a true ROCK STAR...Hyde Park on Sunday and now on The Voice (both with raves)...
ReplyDeleteI know its totally amazing how much respect and publicity she is getting! She really deserves it and I am loving how so many people are looking up to her. When I saw her in Oxford Circus at the CD signing there were so many young and really unexpected people there.
ReplyDeleteIt was great to see Stevie last night, and I am So happy she sang with the best contestant, Javier, and HE WON!!! Awesome. I chose him from the beginning...he had The Voice. The others, umm, not so much, LOL. Stevie looked and sounded great, and their harmonies were flawless. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteHave to say I was a little worried at the beginning - he started off a little high, she a little low, and wasn't sure how their voices would meld. WOW. By the time they resumed singing after that reflective guitar interlude they were perfectly in synch and hit it out of the park. I got chills. Proves once again Stevie is one of the great all-time harmony singers in pop music. I really like Javier as well - he has a beautiful voice and exudes warmth. What a delightful surprise.
ReplyDeleteso beautiful, Stevie. speechless.
ReplyDeleteHow a woman in her 60s can play Hyde Park, London on Sunday afternoon - interview Monday morning, sign CDs for hours Monday night - get on a plane and fly 1/2 way around the world to sing live Wednesday evening in Los Angeles and LOOK and SOUND so great - it's amazing - she's amazing. The crowd roar when she began to sing says it all - Stevie, you're loved!!!
ReplyDeleteLONG overdue!!!
ReplyDeleteand well deserved!!!

A perfect opportunity to promote the new album, and she sings "Landslide" for the hundreth time. Yes it sounded good, but it did nothing to help the sales of the new album, when tumbled over 25 spots this week and has sold barely over 100,000 copies and 8 weeks. No re-sceduling her "Today show' appearance. No David Letterman or Leno or Conan spots. No second single released to radio or video. Sad the album is bombing commercially, but it's Stevie's fault and her label's fault. The worst promotional effort for a Nicks album ever.
