New to the list is the Oracle Arena show in Oakland, CA on April 20th - the lowest grossing date reported to Billboard thus far + the least attended show of the tour - that was reported to Billboard.

How very sad it is that Lindsey is touring in small theatres to promote his new CD, and obviously not in it for the money. He wisely knows he makes enough money from Fleetwood Mac. While Stevie, who puts out a great new CD, feels it necessary to make money on top of money and is willing to sell herself out performing a shorter than normal set. Billed as co-headliners, but really she was the opening act, and now it is doubtful that she will even tour the US. I am by the way, not trashing Stevie, these are the facts and believe me it makes me very sad. I love Stevie, but certainly do not understand her recent behavior. I would have thought she would be chomping at the bit to sing her new songs for her fans, even if it meant playing in smaller venues and not making as much money.
Yeah, yeah, we get it. You post the same lame self victimizing post at least twice a week. It's called the music business. Having said that, Stevie has said in a few interviews this cd was fior her and her fans. She doesnt care how much it sells or if people steal it. On the flip side, promoters won't back her if the cd isn't selling and there is no buzz. She's touring Australia in November. The act of a money grubbing whore or a poet sharing her art with the people down under? I vote the latter, but I don't have my panties in a bunch and a bone out for bashing Stevie.
But the statement "Promoters won't back her if her CD isn't a selling" is complete bullshit. She had no trouble booking large US tours in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and she even played 6 shows in 2010. And all without a hit CD. Stevie has one of the largest fan bases in the history of rock and most of us support her on every tour she does (with or without Fleetwood Mac). And promoters are well aware of that. And she did not need to open for Rod Stewart this year either, she could have toured on her own, and still can. Most all artists who spend the bulk of their careers touring, eventually go to smaller venues and Stevie could easily do that if she is worried about selling out arenas or pavilion size halls.
The reason for the comments is because I do want to see Stevie sing her new songs live, and will definitely feel cheated is she does not tour the US.
And why is it that so many of you people who disagree feel it necessary to make rude personal comments about anyone who questions Stevie's motives. Having loved and supported Stevie on EVERY SINGLE TOUR SHE HAS EVER DONE SINE 1975, does not mean I believe she is divine. She is a very talented singer, songwrite and performer who is also a beautiful woman. She is not a God though, she is human.
If you are counting on Stevie announcing a US tour anytime soon, you can most probably forget it. Since Lindsey's tour is now growing to Sept. and Oct., it is very doubtful Stevie would also tour at the same time.
Can't look at this in a bubble folks. We are in a huge recession bordering on depression. Rolling Stone has had very candid reports on the collapse of the concert biz and how veteran acts are teaming up now to make it. Even current top tier acts are struggling. It's not 2005-2007. I think we all agree IYD deserves a tour. Street Angel got a tour for gods sake. But it's not 1994 either. The criteria to get promoters to back you is a lot higher. It's like credit-- tough to get right now. Even Stevie gas to deal with these tough economic times on some level--like getting promoters to invest in her tour.
I think this is a better explanation than the sudden greedy and materialistic nature of Ms. Nicks. Why jump to such an unflattering conclusion without context of the situation?
If Lindsey can tour, then obviously Stevie can also. She is a bigger concert draw than he is. But she seems to not be willing to play smaller venues than in her past, which is very silly, and yes greedy. She used to say that when she got older she couldn't wait to play small clubs so she could see all of her fans up close. And besides, she could still play fairly large venues.
If you're going to make a personal attack by calling her greedy, you better demonstrate some actual working knowledge of the industry, which you clearly don't have. The touring business is largely run by two companies that also own most of the major venues as well, and in the case of LiveNation, it also owns Ticketmaster and controlling interest in the world's large talent management agency. They tell the artists where and when they will play. They set the prices. The artists have fewer and fewer choices. The anti-trust suit brought against Live Nation by the U.S. government failed. ALso, Stevie is dedicated to her large circle , and touring is what allows them to pay their rent. If she doesn't work, they don't work and playing 500 seat theaters like Lindsey is, would put alot of people she cares about out of work. They are proud people that will not accept handouts from Stevie - they want to earn their way with whatever pro skill set got them there in the first place. P.S. I bet you like money. Are you greedy? Is it okay if I project dark motives onto you?
Oh dear, everybody seems to be at loggerheads on this subject. I'm afraid the industry has changed so much, the tour promoters will just not stump up the cash if they can't be sure of the correct results. I live in the UK and feel very sad that I've only seen Stevie once solo, the TOSOTM tour. I fully expected her to tour Europe with TIS but it didn't happen. I partly blame her record promoters for that one, you'd have never known she had a new album out here in the UK. as least it should be different for IYD as she's currently here in London. Obviously I though she'd announce some dates round the Hyde Park concert but I think she's only doing that concert to promote the album. I've been very lucky and seen her solo in Sydney and Vegas, but it's not quite the same as having her come to your home ground. I always see FM when they play here, but to be honest I have no interest in seeing them again without new material, been there, done that!
