VIDEO: Stevie Nicks In Your Dreams Tour Campaign #StevieNicksIYDTOUR with @davestewart

And it all comes down to you!...
Stevie's new album In Your Dreams is out now in many countries around the world and has been for about a month.  The album is being loved and heralded by not only the fans, but by critics and reviewers (Album Reviews) as her best since the early 80's.  In Your Dreams is about to drop in the UK in just a few short weeks (June 27th) to great anticipation by the UK fans.  With the Summer touring season virtually upon us where do we find ourselves?  We find ourselves looking at a blank slate in terms of scheduled live solo dates touring behind this really amazing new album... Aside from the one show in the UK June 26th at the Hard Rock Calling Festival and the previously reported tour in Australia this November there isn't anything lined up, that we know of, for North America this summer/fall.  Yes, Stevie wasn't completely absent from the road this year.  She toured with Rod Stewart in March/April covering 18 major markets in the US/Canada where she included one new song in that set from the new album "Secret Love".  That was great for what it was, which was introducing her music to pretty much an audience that wasn't necessarily there to see her - but to see Rod.

The real issue is that The Wiltern Birthday Bash show May 26th proved that adding an astounding amount of new music to the set (8 new songs from the new album) can be done and should be done.  What an exciting night it was to be in that audience... I can't even tell you!  Not only did it prove that the new songs can be played alongside the older solo and Fleetwood Mac favourites, it can be done to great success.  The balance of The Wiltern show between older material and new material was perfect!! The audience ate it up... I know, I was there... Granted it was an Album Release Concert so you would expect a great deal of the album to be previewed but the music sounded so good that night.  Stevie's band was tight,  they played the new music with such ease it looked as if they had been playing this music for years... Stevie, Sharon and Lori were on their game that night looking and sounding phenomenal.  Fans all over should have the opportunity to experience something similar - they deserve it and the new music deserves to be heard live!!  With the exception of one song in the set "Soldiers Angel" everything played that night is completely road worthy.  With "Soldiers Angel" where Lindsey sings and plays back up, I don't think you can touch that song unless he's going to be there.  Just my opinion.

Dave Stewart the album co-producer, co-writer, duet partner, videographer on a couple of tracks from the album was at The Wiltern May 26th and added a great deal to the overall show... He's set to tour with Stevie in Australia come November and I believe he'd totally be on board if a trek across North America were put into place... Dave included would just be an added bonus if it happened and would tie everything the two of them have worked on over the last year and a half together nicely...

There has been talk of something in the works for Stevie touring in North America sometime in August/September - but nothing has been announced and we are already into June.  If it's going to happen, it needs to happen pretty quick!

So, she's toured the last few years WITHOUT new material, recycling the same songs (which have become rote) every time, but now that she has NEW material, she's not touring? Either something is wrong with her or her management company, or there is a greed factor in place. Odd.

I'm sorry, but I'll be damned after spending my hard earned cash to see Stevie and the Mac on every single tour she has ever been on, if now I am going to beg her to sing her new songs for me. I love Stevie dearly, but something is indeed very wrong with this whole scenerio. She says she can't tour without a hit CD because promoters won't want her? And yet after 35 years in the music busineess, she has made every mistake possible to not have her wonderful new CD be a hit. You would think she would be so eager to sing these new songs for her fans, and for once not be worried about making money. She never used to be so interested in finacial matters, at least not publicly. Nowadays she talks way to much about such things and it's not very indearing at all.

If she wants to tour I will gladly see her as many times as I can. But not as an opening act for someone else where she only does a short set. Only if she tours on her own. And I'm not begging her either.

Want a hit cd? How about releasing a second single and video? Secret Love was around for over 3 months and stalked at #20 because the videowas released 2 months and two weeks after the single was released. Insane.
The cd has already fallen out of the top 40...little help here?
Britney and GaGa both had released 2 singles before their CDs dropped. Warners needs to catch up with the times.

Irving Azoff and Front Line Management have not represented Stevie since the 1980's. She has since been managed by Howard Kaufman Company and Sheryl Louis at HK. You should get your facts correct in this effort, which by the way is a waste of time. Stevie has made it very clear she is in this for the money nowadays, and only cash will get her on the road.

^^ Who said anything about Front Line managing Stevie since the 80's? Howard Kaufman and Irving Azoff are partners in Front Line... HK is a company within a Front Line.

Here's another idea to throw into the ring - how about a DEEP DISH-style remix of WIDE SARGASSO SEA specifically targeting the clubs that embraced the DREAMS remix and PLANETS OF THE UNIVERSE ten years ago? She has a following in this realm already. I live in the Silverlake neighborhood in L.A. and the young people I talk to at clubs (I'm 45) know Stevie primarily from her '80's STAND BACK/I CAN'T WAIT/IF ANYONE FALLS period, because they heard these songs as kids on way or another. WIDE sounds almost in this mode. It's very dramatic in that Stevie-operatic way. In any case, I think everyone makes valid points in terms of the strange marketing of what should be a huge winner....

Love that idea...always thought a Stevie Nicks Remix cd would do really well. Planets, Dreams and Stand Back all huge dance hits over the past decade

For the past decade, Stevie Nicks performed MANY solo tours without a new album to promote, and now she needs a campaign to justify a tour to support her new album? I'm sorry, but this makes no sense and even as a huge fan of hers, I will NOT beg he to tour. The promotional effort by her label for this fabulous new album has been very mediocre. The video for "Secret love" was not released until the last minute and after the single stalled, no second single has been released even with tons of videos already filmed in waiting of release. Why no Leno or Letterman spots? Stevie has repeatedly stated she opted to tour the past decade instead of recording because of the record sales being killed by internet piracy. So why isn't she already touring to support this new album? Instead of basically "opening" for Rod Stewart of all people with a short set list void of new material, she should already be on the road supporting this new album. A twitter campaign to get Stevie to tour? All I can say is, wow! Talk about bad decisions from all involved, including Stevie, in promoting one of her finest albums ever. No wonder the album dropped from #6 to out of the top 40 in merely a month!

You guys are WAY too hard on a 63 year old lady. She is not Gaga or Britney. It's like you all expect her to be as she was in her hey-day ... WHICH WAS 30 YEARS AGO or MORE. Get over it.

Nobody is expecting her to be as popular as she was 30 years ago. But to ask people to rwitter a campaign to get her to tour is laughable and greedy. She has toured basically the past ten years without a hit album, and now she announces the album isn't selling enough to justify a tour to promoters. Bull! The economy is down badly and she doesn't want to tour smaller venues. Listen to how much she has talked about how much money she makes lately. It's really kind of weird. Expecting her to be as popular as 30 years ago? Not at all? But expecting fans to twitter campaign for a tour and charge big bucks? NO WAY either! If she wants to promote this album, she should tour behind it. Ya, she's 63. And? This is all about her wanting more money and nothing more.

I must not understand how the concert industry works. Most of the artists I see live perform in theaters or clubs. I get that stevie probably can't sell out an arena but surely a major city theater tour is possible. I'm just very dissappointed. The new cd is so good and she has never not toured.

Just an FYI, The decision to campaign for a tour was started by the fans... Nobody from the Nicks camp asked the fans to do it... Dave suggested it to a few people which is fine, but he has no say in whether she she actually tours or not that's completely up to Stevie... All this is is a show of support by the fans that they would like to see Stevie on the road singing some of her new music regardless of album sales.

I paid $10 to see fleetwood mac in 1979 and $100 to see stevie in 2009. Not sure if I could afford to see her if she does decide to tour. And if she doesn't, well, she has certainly earned the right to stay home and put her platformed feet up.
