  1. Jeez, where does this woman get her energy? She runs circles around 20 year-olds!

  2. She's doing all these local interviews because many of her tour dates aren't selling. The Washington DC area show is less than a third sold, very sad. That's why it was important for her new CD to have been more of a hit than it was. And it's also why the post below mentions all these cheap ticket offers. Her CD could have done so much better with a more planned out promotion. It really makes no sense at all since they had so much time from when it was finished until it was actually released. I don't think Warner Bros. Records and her management have a clue anymore.

  3. ^^ What's interesting is, is you keep coming here saying he marketing has been piss poor on Stevie's album, yet you've never once laid out what the marketing should have been... She's done A LOT of press, radio and big shows that have a lot of eye balls watching... more tv appearances then she has ever done before... countless radio interviews, magazine spreads and mentions.. the Rod Stewart joint tour that got a lot of attention and mentioned the new album in all the press for that tour... Yet your aren't satisifed... So tell us. What would you have done differently or better than what has already been done? And you are sighting a Washington DC area show as selling poorly when the discount on tickets is for other cities... so why haven't there been discounts on tickets for DC if it's selling so poor? Fill us in, we'd love to hear your suggestions.

  4. This has all been said before and not just by me. When "Secret Love" was serviced to radio in February the video and her live TV performances of the song should have taken place at the same time. Radio DJ's have a very short window of time to play a song and see if their listeners like it. And since Stevie has always been a beautiful woman with a strong visual image, it really would have helped DJ's play the song more and that would have helped get it into real rotation on many more stations. And since she finished the album in December 2010, they had plenty of time to accomplish that. But instead it was May that the video came out and then she did TV appearences, very poor planning. And I do stongly believe that AC radio would have welcomed a hit song by Stevie.

  5. And obviously the cities that are offering discount seats aren't selling that well either. And they probably will do the same in DC. Some dates are sold out and that's great, but I think they booked her into too large venues in other areas. And I for one, do not think the Rod Stewart shows did her any real good. Yes they grossed large numbers and she therefore made a lot of money, but most of the press called her the opening act and gave Rod better reviews. And I also think a lot of people who went to those shows are not bothering with her own actual tour, which may be adding to poor ticket sales in many towns.

  6. she was JUST on tour in the Spring. Even some die hard fans can't afford to see her again so soon, no matter if she's playing new material or not. She's oversaturated the market with her shows due to her tour with Rod. Smaller venues are much more suitable at this point of her career.
