Listen to St. Vincent and Craig Wedren cover Fleetwood Mac
"Craig Wedren (of Shudder to Think and Baby) and St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) tackling "Sisters of the Moon," a Stevie Nicks-penned standout off 1979's Tusk, with co-production from Dave Sitek (TV on the Radio). The two artists' shared love of off-kilter distortion come together nicely to turn one of Fleetwood Mac's dreamier songs into something entirely new."

It is much better the second time you listen to and actually is not bad at all. It just proves what an incredible song it was the first time!
ReplyDeleteI can't get over that buzzing sound. It sounds like a fly.
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be the worst tribute album ever. I don't even want to hear any more of the songs. Every single one so far is awful. They offer nothing new or original to the songs, most of the singers have horrible voices and the arrangements are boring and totally flat.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the previous poster. Just think of Lindsey's own recent covers - I AM WAITING or TO TRY FOR THE FUN, for example - to illustrate how a fresh, imaginative, heartfelt cover can lend a song previously unknown dimensions. These take FM songs - some truly great, others very good - and shrinks them down for undersized talents. Awful.
ReplyDeleteIn the never-forgotten words of Linda Blair in The Exorcist...
ReplyDeleteMAKE IT STOP!
MAKE IT STOP!!!
A fly...or a flatulent robot.
