STEVIE NICKS LIVE
PNC BANK CENTER, HOLMDEL, NJ JUNE 30TH
Not the greatest visual of Stevie on this video below, but it sounds really great!... Stevie, and the band execute this number live near perfectly!
SOLDIERS ANGEL | MOONLIGHT (A Vampires Dream)
Both pretty intense songs.. Love the ending of Moonlight!

LOVE IS - JONES BEACH, JUNE 29TH
I know I get some haters. but I think there are much better songs Stevie could close her set with than Love Is. Pretty song, but way too long, lumbersome and, Ok I will say it, IMO, Boring.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Child, HAEWAFY, Goodbye Baby, Beauty and The Beast
This one was from last years outings and frankly a snooze.
She NAILS Moonlight-- good to hear!
ReplyDeleteLove Is-- just gorgeous here. When previous Anonymous comment leaver creates the set-list (and I know we'd ALL love to) then insert any of the above choices though HAEWAFY is slightly exhausted. Good-bye Baby, a lovely choice but... the real question is when will "She Loves Him Still" be released? That would be my choice!
ReplyDeleteI can't see how anyone could complain about anything in the set until something is done about Rhiannon and Edge taking up have the bloody show! No live track should go longer than 5 minutes. Both tracks have become stale and signal a trip to the refreshment stand and/or the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteI, too, would shorten Edge of Seventeen but leave it in - Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You hasn't been done in awhile and it's just beautiful - would be an excellent closer!!! you gotta send with something the majority know...
ReplyDeletemeant to say you have to "end" with something well known....
ReplyDeleteFunny, all the live TV performances I've seen for this album have been "cringe worthy" but, these live clips are totally amazing. She sounds in damn fine form, looks confident... and Moonlight, wow, just wow. I'll definitely be purchasing tickets if she adds CA dates.
ReplyDeleteEdge is just fine now and isn't NEARLY as long as used to be. Mama needs an opportunity at some point to change outfits, take a potty break, smoke a doob and rest her voice before singing such a vocally demanding song. And of course she has to take the time to press the flesh- a time-worn tradition that never, ever gets old for the fans. And the added refrains at the end about doves crying is some of the most passionate singing she does in the set these days- almost akin to the fire-breathing "Rhiannons" she used to do in the 1970s.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting all of these great videos. She looks and sounds great!
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Love Is amazing live, a snooze? I Seen it last year and cant wait to see it in Detroit in 4 days...im just blessed 2 have her around sounding so wonderful...
ReplyDelete"Mama needs an opportunity at some point to change outfits..."
ReplyDeleteMama?
Really?
Ugh...
Yeah. I really don't like "Mama" either.
ReplyDeleteMama rules supreme-- deal with it.
