Stevie dropped "Ghosts Are Gone" from her setlist in Hershey, PA on July 3rd.... and didn't replace the song with another... Bit surprised she's dropped a song at this stage... Usually within the first couple of shows things may change, but when the setlist carried through to Holmdel and New York City after opening night in Jones Beach on June 29th, I figured it was safe to say this was going to be the setlist for her summer shows... Apparently not!
One poster had a lot to say about the Hershey show, the setlist... Stevie's new album... What she's playing on this tour.. but most importantly, what she ISN'T playing on this tour.. And I have to agree with them in terms of some of the song selections and the opening tune.... Check it out for yourself in the comments section...

And to the Anonymous poster that posted it... NO, I won't delete your post. I think it's fair and constructive criticism, and you make some good points, one of which - She should have dropped Rock N Roll and opened the show with the title track from the CD "In Your Dreams"! This track fits so perfectly to open the show... It's exactly the right tempo. PLUS for the most part, you ALWAYS remember the first tune at any concert! At least I do.
Imagine this as the opening number... Can you feel it?

Another U.K tour would be a dream come true, But i'm patient, If it doesn't happen, It doesn't i can accept that, I know the business like the back of my hand dealing with it and working with it for the last 15 years.
But in the meantime we have this INCREDIBLE Album IN YOUR DREAMS.
Timeless, Flawkless, Masterpiece and a Classic.
My life is complete with this Album.
Much Love to all Stevie fans.
Maybe Stevie should be allowed the freedom to sing whatever the heck she feels like singing. If you want the same show - buy the DVD or watch YouTube.
pretty amazing that she still sells out here and there considering the set list is pretty banal.
YES...I am SO in touch with this emotion! I'm wishing your wish..."I'm wishing my wish is gonna come true"!!!
Yes I must agree, opening with a Led Zepplin cover song is very off for a woman who considers herself a prolific songwriter. And she is, and should be opening with "In Your Dreams" or some other uptempo song of her own. Why she never performs "I Can't Wait" is beyond me, and obviously it would make a great opener. She says it doesn't sound right live, which is not true at all. And she used to say that about "Sara", also untrue.
Excellent idea to open with In Your Dreams-- great song.
Agreed that she should ditch the Zepplin cover and open with "In Your Dreams" - which went off with out a hitch last year at Red Rocks - the last time she performed it before she ditched it. Or at least open with "Ghosts Are Gone"! She started this tour by saying it's not another "greatest hits' concert, but by dropping 1 more new song, it's starting to feel that way!
Say what you mean. Do what you say.
Maybe she dropped it based on audience response, I saw the Beacon show which was absolutely wonderful, but looking around the audience, that was the song, with exception of those in the front rows, that the audience was pretty unresponsive to, with people in the loge where I was getting up to get drinks, etc. All the other new songs were much better received. I also agree, with so many great songs of her own, why do rock n roll? The screen in back of her had pixs of all the great bands of that era, so maybe she likes doing it as a tribute to all her fellow musicians? It was an incredible show, but I would have rather heard a Stevie song as well.
WHO CARES WHAT SONG SHE OPENS OR CLOSES WITH, I mean really.....It's Stevie Nicks. She could sing anything and sound great. I am so honored to see her sing live and I love every song because she sings with "heart and soul". KEEP DOING US PROUD STEVIE!!!!! LOVE YOU!!!!!
This is a touchy subject. On every tour Stevie almost always ends up dropping a song or two from the original set. I have long tried to go to the opening show or at least one of the first few concerts. Stevie should be and is free to sing the songs she wants to perform. Me, I'm all for Stevie singing her own songs. For years I lamented how she always covered Tom Petty's "I Need To Know" - a great song but again not one of her own. Rock on Stevie - you are our "Gold Dust Woman"~~~
I agree with the above comment---who cares what she opens with--she's Stevie Nicks!!! Saw her in NJ last Sat night and the show was GREAT--will be going again next Thurs in Mohegan Sun can't wait!!! I have NEVER EVER been disappointed at any of her concerts!!!! A classy lady and a great artist!!!

UGH! This type of comment is the most annoying type there is. Don't criticize or have a real opinion - it's just not the thing to do.
I hope the next time you see her live she sings the TellyTubbies greatest hits. What an honor!
I'm glad Ghosts Are Gone is out cause it's just not an appealing track. It's lacks are real melody or hook. Dropping it is not a mistake. Not replacing it is.
It's lacks any* real melody or hook.
At 64 years old, Stevie can do (or be) whatever the hell she wants.
Said it once and I'll say it again,
You try being a 64 year old rock n' roll woman on stage. It's a wonder we even STILL have our Stevie up on stage.
Be GRACIOUS... as Stevie herself said.
I've never understood the sycophantic behavior of so many fans. I've loved Stevie for three decades; I have all of her albums and more; I see her live whenever she's in town; I turn up the radio when a song of hers comes on; I've converted friends into fans....Yet, I refuse to believe that I can't criticize her. Yes, she's free to sing and perform what she wants, but, come on, is it realistic and productive to say that you'd be satisfied if Stevie sang ANYTHING....Really? As someone mentioned above, you'd be happy if Stevie sang The Teletubbies' greatest hits? I find that hard to believe. All some of us are saying is that it's a shame Stevie wastes precious time singing a cover because she is such a prolific writer and has so many excellent songs of her own. Imagine if she opened with "Bella Donna" or "In Your Dreams" or "Talk to Me" or "I Can't Wait" or "Sara." You can't tell me that you wouldn't be more excited to hear one of those as an opener than "Rock and Roll." And she needs to stop dropping songs and not replacing them. It's unfair. People pay a lot of money for tickets and they expect a full show. If you're going to drop a song because you don't think it's working, fine. But put something (preferably a song of your own) back into the set.

As long as she's on stage, right? Don't matter if we enjoy the show, just as long as she's up there at 64...
Maybe she could ditch the silly singing thing and just do a few hours hardcore knitting? She'll be on stage, at 64, so it's got to be good and we've got to love it!
What @John said above is totally right. There's far too many sycophants acting as if it's against the law to have an opinion on this stuff.
At 33 years old, I can say, protest, or complain about whatever the hell I want to.
Hello Anonymous who posted about Stevie and the Hall of Fame. Thanks for sharing -- I've been ticked off for years that she doesn't get a nod. I think the standard for women getting in is much different for men (RHCP, G-n-R, really???). The only thing I could really think of was that they didn't like that she didn't play an instrument on stage. However the fact that she plays some FM songs on her solo tours makes some sense (as a reason), though I don't completely buy it. If she wrote the song in the first place...
Anyway, I think it's cool to critique the set-list in terms of having opinions. I also think, as I said before, that singing 5-6 songs off a new album is anything but playing it safe.
FYI, last night in Niagara Falls, "Ghosts" was back on the set list...
Take it easy all, I hope you get to catch her on this tour.
