OK, I'm not gonna be popular for saying this, but I really do not care.
This sunglasses crap needs to stop!
I don't care what reason there is for it, it's distracting, annoying, and looks incredibly silly.
And since I'm throwing out all this negativity here... that slider thing at the top of the site is buggy and makes my browsers (IE,Chrome,Firefox - doesn't matter what I use) go insane at least once a day. Sort it out!
@Anonymous: I know how you feel about the sunglasses. My only guess is she wears them when her eye(s)? have the watering problem she's talked about.
Apparently, Cyclops Stevie has problems. Normal Stevie has problems and Arachnid Stevie has some MAJOR problems. Arachnid Stevie shows up on stage around the same time Octopus Stevie does.
In all seriousness, though, I agree with the first poster that those classes have GOT to go. Those things rank right up there with the Frankensneakers and that silly arm waving stuff she does every time she sings "Secret Love". Womans gone crazy!
I've got to second the comment about the slider as well. I have some serious issues with it in Firefox, Seamonkey and Internet Explorer. It slows them down in a big way or freezes them altogether. The only browser I can open it with is Chrome and it tends to slow it down.
Stevie wears those glasses to not only see but to help with the her eye that waters. I have the same issue with my right eye and when I wear dark glasses it helps stop it. Light will irate it.
Thank you webmaster, for all that you do, to make this site so incomparable. I only have thanks, no complaints, no bickering. I think nickslive.blogspot would be the best television show, there's something new every day and the webmaster deserves an internet award- the legacy of Fleetwood Mac is enhanced by the impeccable work that you do. I still will buy the ep, or the itunes releases, but what a treat to hear the new songs, 'Sisters' also was very interesting and good. In a way, she sounds all ''ancient queen'' on it, but it really quite works for the 2013 vibe of the song- hearing it makes me feel like i've been awoken from a coma in since 1982, so the craggy in a good way tones of her voice on it work fine for me! Hi, to v, hej, jan, LL, and m's opening night write up was fascinating.
I love reading all the comments, as I find it interesting to know what everyone's thinking. We're all entitled to our opinion, and if it's going to set you off then better refrain from reading.
I happen to think Stevie looks like a rock star in those glasses. They're not dark, they're just tinted. Most women her age need to wear corrective lenses. She can't exactly go out on stage in granny glasses!
Watching "The Chain," I felt so bad for Lindsey! He seemed embarrassed (started to sing "down comes the night" instead of "watch the sun rise"). Poor Lindsey. He's such a brilliant guitar player. He's still #1 in my book.
And yes, the header at the top of the page causes my Google Chrome browser to hang for a little bit, but I just sit patiently because the content of this site is definitely worth the wait! Thank you, Nicks Live, for all of your hard work.
To the folks who would rather lick than be honest about the header thing, let me just come out and say it without the sugar so you all can go back to your glitter farms...
That header up there is a terrible hog on system resources and rarely loads smoothly. It's a nuisance and a torment. Yes, of course this is a great blog with great info, I come here all the time, but what good's that if you can't even get on the site?
So get rid of it. Chrome seems to load better than other browsers, but even in that, it causes a hang. Why not a nice picture banner? Other than that, the site seems to run quite nicely without issue.
Thanks for all your input on the banner... Noticed it starting to hang a couple of weeks ago, thought it was just me... It's been removed. Again, thanks for your input and feel free to let me know if you experience other issues.
I've been following this group for years. They are missing something. The pitch was low. They lacked that fire they used to have. They're aging like the rest of us. But, I'm glad they aren't quitting.
I didn't catch Stevie's flub on The Chain. Would someone tell me where it is? I felt bad for poor Linds, too, for messing up the second line. Aww! <3 They're only human, but are usually spot-on the majority of the time! Being perfectionists, I bet they wish they could hit "rewind" during moments like that; they all work so hard. I can't wait to see all the youtube videos throughout the tour. It's always fun to see how each performance varies. :D

ReplyDeleteYou need medication.
quit obsessing losers, just enjoy the show and stop picking every little thing apart, they are senior citizens, be glad they are performing at all.
ReplyDeleteStop picking on the old people!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was cute that both Lindsey and Stevie messed up during The Chain both at different parts of the song hehe. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Nickslive! My browsers thank you, too! I wonder if perhaps things like the banner just get "buggy" after a while?
ReplyDeleteThanks again! :-)
