Fleetwood Mac is Dead To Me Now. Purchased plane tickets for entire family to travel down to Florida to see you. You cancel 2 days before the show with NO NOTICE. Never NEVER again.
ReplyDeleteA scheduling conflict. Really? Stevie are you on the sauce again?
ReplyDeleteTotally stinks that you cancel two days before the concert and say its a scheduling conflict.
ReplyDeleteHow can you have a schedule conflict two days before when it's been on your tour schedule for months.
You could at least be honest with your fans.
South Floridian's have been waiting months for you to perform.
this always seems to happen when i want to really see someone and you guys MacDaddy....really????
ReplyDeleteWhy can you reschedule Montreal show? I'm very sad now i was expecting this show for a long time! :(
ReplyDeleteMaybe there is something serious going on with someone in the band and they don't want to divulge it at this time. Fleetwood Mac has toured for years and been loyal to their commitments for years.
ReplyDeleteThis can't be true, I worked in a rental facility and if there was a problem/conflict the computers would tell us. So whats up with that FM?
ReplyDeleteThis has been planned for months so where is the conflict?
ReplyDeleteI'll tell you. it's most likely sluggish ticket sales & the don't want the extra drive time to come down here to play this far south.
They have been selling out almost every show, not that for sure.Maybe one of them are sick, they ARE human too.
Deletereally... they in tampa the night before on friday... burns my behind, scheduled a whole flight down to see the show... they are doing tampa, but not lauderdale the next night..... bummed
ReplyDeleteScheduled a plane ticket and 3 nights accommodations and you cancel 2 days before!! You obviously stopped caring about the fans. WTF?
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason Fort Lauderdale shows tend to cancel. Remember "opening" night of Heart/Soul with Rod and Stevie. Other groups have cancelled that venue as well. The demographic in that location could careless unless it is One Direction or Justin Bieber, especially with the high ticket prices and brokers holding all the good seats. Hope everyone in the band is well though.
ReplyDeleteLet the show go on in Tampa and Atlanta, cool people in those towns.
Lame, thanks for major disappointment. Bought my wife tickets last year, for Christmas! Fleetwood Crap! Never again for you old ass losers!
ReplyDeleteThat really is a bullshit reason when the show has been scheduled for months !!!!!
ReplyDeleteBought the tickets in December. Made arrangements for the weekend. I had scheduling conflicts. I resolved them. Too bad these turds have so little respect for their fans to cancel the show a mere FOUR DAYS BEFORE the show date. Too late for us to cancel our plans. Too late to cancel hotel reservations. Too late to cancel the flights. Too late to cancel the rental car. Scheduling conflicts my eye. They couldn't sell our the arena, so they punted. Scumbags.
ReplyDeleteWould like to hear something from the band, not just a Live Nation statement. Lots of folks spending big $, traveling long distances for ....nothing. Infuriating! Never again for this former fan.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunate. They had an excellent show in Toronto; best I'd ever seen. Bought tickets and flight to see them again in Montreal. Have never done that - see them twice in one tour. Unfortunate. However, if you get a chance to see them, this in an excellent show!
ReplyDeleteFleetwood mac has MILLIONS of fans around the world. If any of you complainers think for one second theyre going to miss your money or fandom, you seriously need your heads examined.
ReplyDeleteApparently the band isn't popular enough to sell out the arena in Ft.Lauderdale or Montreal. Too bad. I wanted to see the old codgers. Maybe they ran out of Geritol and Big Macs. Stevie is getting long int he tooth and big in the ass.
ReplyDeleteThat SUCKS!!! I was lucky enough to see them in LA and Orange County, CA. However, I feel for all these fans. I would've been devastated if this happened to me. FM please make it up to these fans somehow!! Give them something! This is beyond just a loss of a ticket! Come on there has to be a better explanation, the fans are not so naive.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for all those affected...
Wow, had college friends flying into town, luckily we're all old enough to buy trip insurance... but what a crap way to start the summer... ruining a fun reunion. As for people down in ft. Lauderdale only caring about Bieber ... I think you might be thinking Miami. FM was almost sold out here, so I'd say they have a few fans.... or DID!
ReplyDeleteShould have known better than to have bought tickets for these drug addled losers. Stevie cancelled two other shows in Ft. Lauderdale at the last minute. A real pattern here. No respect for fans. Please, never book another show down here.
ReplyDeleteEveryone from that area are showing all of us exactly why they cancelled.Who would want to play for rude, ignorant people that are acting this way towards them? Maybe the arena down there is crap or something with security issues, too many variables here people. But they were AWESOME in Columbus,Ohio!!
DeleteThey see South Florida as a THIRD WORLD scum pit....and it really is. I am disappointed, but it is a very low class audience and it is HOT and rainy as hell. I am sad to miss it, but I do not blame them. South Florida is filled with non English-speakers, nasty weather and a horrible venue. They are making a FORTUNE on this tour and they probably got a better place to perform. I am disappointed, but I do not blame them....it's a nasty place to tour in.....
ReplyDeleteLet's face it....would any of YOU want to tour in scumbag, third-world South Florida? They are total class. I saw STEVIE here a year ago and she was great, but the audience was awful....I am not surprised. Most people in Miami do not even know who they are!!
ReplyDeleteIt's just very disappointing. Watching the reviews from all of the other states, building the anticipation, booking the room, dinner plans, lunch plans, the perfect "Stevie" dress for the show...and now NO birthday plans. Two for two FM shows cancelled on me in the last 30yrs. "Never Goin' Back Again"!
ReplyDeletenon English speakers!
ReplyDeletedrug addicted losers!
You guys are killing me. This is more fun that watching a Christopher Guest movie!
Both of these shows were close to selling out. Clearly there is some sort of personal/health/scheduling issue. Fleetwood Mac are all in their 60's. They have lots of friends and family. Things happen. It's a busy time of year. Maybe somebody is sick. Maybe a family member is sick.
It's a concert. It's disappointing. Life goes on.
#firstworldproblems
Enough with the South Florida bashing please. I too am disappointed.
ReplyDeleteThis happened a couple of years ago with Stevie and Rod heart and soul tour. And like at least 10 or so years ago Stevie cancelled a show in Raleigh NC that I was flying to see with a friend there. Three strikes for me. Really frustrated this time because I had VIP Mick Fleetwood tickets!
This is just so wrong. If ticket sales are low in a venue, instead of cancelling out, call everyone to the front of the house and make it a fun intimate close up show! Change of pace for the band as well.
ReplyDeleteNo class, this. For shame. And what a flimsy cowardly "reason".
Remember, Karma is a bitch.
Show in Lauderdale was not close to sold out. Brokers started dumping tickets back into system with the $7 insurance option on the tickets they couldn't resell.
ReplyDeleteTHE CROWD there last year for Stevie and Rod were older than the Mac and sitting and complaining most of show with few exceptions. I felt bad for Stevie...she was great and crowd was dead. The other venues throughout Florida are far greater and with better audiences. Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville far better to see a show. South East Florida just full or NY and third world transplants. Hopefully no more cancellations...next excuse Tropical Storm Andrea...NO
I understand people are very dissapointed but wow, so much anger in these comments! They wouldn't cancel unless they have a good reason, wether it's a sheduling conflict or something else. They've been touring America for 38 years, if you're such a big fan you've probably seen them before, think of the fans in parts of the world where they NEVER tour, those people will never see them perform live, now that sucks! Your show got cancelled, get over it.
ReplyDelete^^^Thank you to the last poster. I believe a lot of the hostile, vindictive, childish "Anonymous" comments are from ONE or TWO deeply disturbing people I'd rather not meet anytime soon. Get over it and watch YouTube.
ReplyDeleteI would be devestated if the shgow I was going to was to be cancelled. I would be annoyed at the reason given by LIVE NATION and NOT the band. But you have a chance to see them again. I had to fly to London to see them in 2003. 11 hour flight. Can't do it this time.
ReplyDeleteThink about it people... I do not see Stevie, Lindsey, John and Mick sitting in a room saying to each other lets not do this particular concert just to piss off people. This type of decision is made by Live Nation... Well maybe I can see Mick doing that.. BUT NOT Stevie Nicks.. !!! Why does she always get the blame!!!
ReplyDelete^^I agree with you!! Stevie has done shows on this tour LIMPING due to a fall....gimme a break...
ReplyDeleteThey just didn't feel like doing the show. Note that the Fort Lauderdale show they cancelled the Montreal show they cancelled and the Helsinki show they cancelled were all scheduled as part of back to backs. Shows two nights in a row. The only scheudling conflict is that they don;t feel like doing the show.
ReplyDeleteArrrogant. Book as many shows as you can then just dump on the fans and blow off the shows you don't feel like doing.
Oh yeah, hold our money for 6+ months
Seeing Fleetwood mac perform live was on my wife's bucket list. When I found out they were coming to South Florida I grabbed tickets.
ReplyDeleteWe even changed our vacation schedule to return home from New England early to be at the show.
I read the last comment and I agree. They just don't feel like doing it. Form my wife's bucket list to my Sh_t list. Thanks for screwing over thousands of people.
Boo
ReplyDeleteBooooo
Boooooooo
Wow!, If these are fans....WOW!. Mick would never purposely hurt Fleetwood Mac. A scheduling conflict sounds fishy but, who knows. I'm thinking Stevie's knee injury might be the cause...when it happened, I thought "they're going to have to hire a physical therapist for this" tour.
ReplyDeleteYes they have money, but they've worked their asses off for it.
Let's wish them well. Let's hope they're
on the road soon.
No rescheudling? No nothing
ReplyDeleteBought tickets months ago. Booked flights to be in South Florida. Got screwed by selfish, old farts that see themsleves as so entitled that they can just DUMP on all the lowly people that just buy tickets. We had to make sacrifices to buy tickets and make travel plans to be at the show. A ticket refund - that's it. Screwed on filghts, luckily we can cancel our room reservation.
Selfish, arrogant, entitled, burned out old bags. You musta made too much money along the way to care about the little people that have supported you all these years.
ReplyDeleteRoumour has it that you have become a group of narcisstic, money grabbers. Someone wrote. Maybe someone in the band is sick, they are human. Wish it was true about being sick.
ReplyDeleteBUT they simply don't feel like doing the show.
Don't buy tickets to any of their upcoming shows that are part of a back to back where they have scheduled 2 shows in 2 nights. They have already cancelled three back to backs and you could be next!
