Fleetwood Mac Producer Ken Caillat Possibly Prepping "Tusk" book... Looking for Photos.

Ken Caillat posted on the "Rumours (the book)" Facebook page the following message.

"In preparation for my possible Tusk book, I trying to find as many pics from the tusk era of the band in or out of the studio, in restaurants, partying, etc. if you have them and we use them we'll pay for them!!"

Ken wrote a book the Making of Rumours that came out in April, 2012 to coincide with the 35th Anniversary of the album... and looks to be prepping to do the same on "Tusk"...

Curious... with Tusk being a double album, will the book be double the size?

I bet Stevie is thrilled to hear about the "Tusk" book.

"Rumour" was she was highly pissed about the "Rumours" book.

This Ken Caillat character really has some nerve. He's appropriating the Fleetwood Mac "making of" franchise of their historic albums as if it were all about him. Are more scurrilous stories on their way? Caillat has a huge ego and no class. Why doesn't this has-been leave well enough alone?

Well said, I agree. Is he having financial difficulties so he has to cash in on the fame of this band. No class.

This is fantastic news. When Mr. C. mentioned this possiblitity during our interview for the Fleetwood Mac Marathon in June - I was floored by the idea. So little research exists on these works - perhaps in the shadow of RUMOURS etc. Very exciting stuff.

who cares if the guy wants to make some money, I doubt any stories are made up. If you don't like it, don't read (or buy) it. You think the Band isn't ruthless about making money? Ha!

Everyone involved has their own unique perspective on what went down and how things developed during the process. In reality, while admittedly interesting each band member is probably least reliable and objective in recalling those sessions given the pressure of sudden superstardom wealth fame and the demands placed upon them. The perspective of support staff around the band is most likely head on. I welcome and look forward to all accounts from anyone involved during these times. While I do love Stevie I think she will have the most "rose color" perspective of all and therefore least accurate interpretation of any band member. She has already stayed that she will always focus in the upside when it come a to her memoirs. God knows we don't need to hear anymore about her pathetic drivel about coke or klonopin. Enough of all that.

Hey - I don't object to differing perspectives and differing recollections being aired, but I do think it should be within the context of an account compiled by a professional writer who's interviewed all of the key players. Caillat is a disgruntled co-producer with an axe to grind, who particularly didn't understand Lindsey's approach. Despite TiUSK's now-legendary status, which has vindicated Lindsey in the long run, Caillat still thinks it should have been remixed to sound more conservative. What are you going to do with a bull-headed guy like this? Add in his airing of private incidents in the studio, his insinuations that the band was somehow responsible for the death of Judy Wong, and even electing to tell the world that Lindsey owed money to Ray Lindsay (or was it Richard Dashut?) and he comes off as a vindictive guy who hasn't been able to make a career for himself outside of the Mac. I have no interest in what this jerk has to say.
