Psychologist Jenny Boyd has probed the minds and souls of these artists and has delved into the drive to create, the importance of nurturing creativity, the role of unconscious influences and the effects of chemicals and drugs on the creative process. Music legend who contributed exclusive interviews include: Eric Clapton George Harrison Julian Lennon Jackson Browne David Crosby Stephen Stills Graham Nash Don Henley Hank Marvin Keith Richards Ravi Shankar Ringo Starr Steve Winwood Mick Fleetwood Stevie Nicks Joni Mitchell.

Jenny attended Fleetwood Mac's Sept 24th London show and Stevie dedicated "Landslide" to her.

Stevie's quote on the cover: "All creative people should read this book!"

Christine and Mick contributed below...Part of Christine's is particularly interesting... Is she in therapy?

"I'm seeking help to restore that childlike pleasure I found in creating music" - Christine McVie

  1. Good lord. She sounds really ready to make an FM album. It's the world tour that Lindsey would want that's standing in the way. What a shame!

    1. How is it you think you know this? Christine tell you? Nobody knows what's going on behind the scenes except those who are behind the scenes.

  2. Not for nothing, Jenny Boyd is also a former Mrs. Fleetwood.

  3. Or is that too well-known a fact to mention in this crowd?

  4. I'm NOT am optimist but it sounds as if Christine needs to rejoin Fleetwood Mac for her own soul. Because she's so humble she hasn't got the awards and recognition anyone else in her position would have reaped. My God! Think of the classics this woman has written!!! SHOW ME A SMILE, WHY, DID YOU EVER LOVE ME. REMEMBER ME, HEROES ARE HARD TO FIND, BAD LOSER, SAY YOU LOVE ME, OVER MY HEAD, WARM WAYS, SUGAR DADDY, OH DADDY, YOU MAKE LOVING FUN, DON'T STOP, SONGBIRD, OVER AND OVER, HONEY HI, BROWN EYES, LOVE IN STORE, HOLD ME, LITTLE LIES, ISN'T IT MIDNIGHT, MYSTIFIED, TEMPORARY ONE... and on and on. She's the unsung genius of Anglo-American pop and her songs and their massive success speak for themselves. Of course it couldn't have happened without Lindsey and Christine knows it. TANGO was the Lindsey/Christine album and it was hugely successful, so don't second guess these two - Lindsey and Christine have as powerful and distinctive a chemistry as Stevie and Lindsey do - only the dynamics differ. Christine - come back!!!!! We love you and miss you soooo much!!!!

  5. A short letter to Christine -

We love you. We want you back. We need you. We miss you. The world is seems bad and scary and your songs make us feel better. You are a light in this world. You are a special artist and person who is irreplaceable. It's never been the same since you left and only your presence can make things right again. Please come back, Christine. Please come back!!!

  6. Stevie stated that Lindsey's issue was that Christine wanted/was invited to perform a few songs at a few concerts. He also stated in a recent interview that even if she was just a studio member, what if she writes a big hit? People would want to hear it live and she wouldn't be there to perform it.

This tells me that he's not necessarily opposed to her coming back altogether - but he'd rather her back altogether or not at all. It makes sense, it's completely logical. Personally, I'd be happy if she was just a studio member at least - but she seems to be doing VERY well performing and even flying this year. All of these little hints of evidence (Chris wanting to re-create her youth, writing again, flying to Hawaii and LA, performing with Mick's band, performing with Fleetwood Mac AND all of these group appearances like Stevie's movie premiere and this book premiere) make me think that there's more being planned/talked about behind closed doors - the colour of honey, pink and grey

  7. So, this book is a re-issue of the one Jenny wrote years ago?

  8. It would not be the first time Christine was only a studio member of Fleetwood Mac. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't she only a studio member during the 'Time' period? I do agree with Joseph Gould's comments, though ... With all she's done this year, flying to Hawaii and L.A., performing with Mick's band, participating in all these public appearances with Stevie and Mick, the interviews ... I think that something is at least being talked about behind the scenes. I could certainly understand why Lindsey would want her to tour if she returned; most of the Mac's past radio hits are Christine's songs. That being said we are long passed the days when Fleetwood Mac is going to tear up the Billboard top 40 charts, the target audience is simply too young and the music business is too changed. Fleetwood Mac's bread and butter are the extensive tours.

I heard rumor of another "EP," so if nothing else hopefully Christine will participate in that project, although as much as I loved 'Say You Will' Christine was sorely missed.
