Not sure if anybody else from Hawaii reads this website, but if you're on Oahu go to this concert. I went to the last one (Japan Tsunami benefit) and it was awesome. You don't need to pay anything to watch the show. The $20 tickets are only if you want to sit on a chair in the lawn section (it's ALL the lawn section; only the chairs require tickets). This is basically a free five hour public concert. Of course you can stash a few bucks in the donation bins or buy a couple beers if you don't want to be a total freeloader! All the entertainers, venue, TV crew, TV station air time is totally donated. Nobody gets paid anything. It will be awesome. Maybe a certain blond beauty will show up by surprise... you never know... she did so with Mick's Zoo unannounced previously at The Wave Waikiki and Longhi's in Lahaina way back in 1986. ReplyDeleteIf you are on Oahu go to this concert. You do need to pay something! This is a fundraiser. All the performers and crew are donating their time for a purpose - to raise money for people who have encountered dire circumstances in their life. Please come and BUY TICKETS! Or just donate if you can't make it in person. This is how you live Aloha.
