Monday morning 10AM and everything is sold out already. Something is not right when this happens.
Does anyone think they will release more VIP passes or even concert dates?
Now Live Nation and Ticketmaster are saying the sale starts at 12... kinda freaking out, because I didn't get any pre-sale tickets because they were terrible seats! I hope I didn't miss out completely!
Where are you seeing the sale starts at 12? I couldn't get any seats at 10
I guess I'll just re-live my old concert memories from the 80s and 90s. Over $200 per seat in the nosebleed sections and $400-$600 for floor seats. What a shame
$300 for 2 seats in sec 204 at hartford civic center (xl center)
What a joke! All presale tickets were crap and all of the general sale tickets were gone in no time...the only ticket I could have gotten was behind the stage! I'm sure most of the tickets were bought by people just to end up being sold on third party sites. The whole process is very crooked.
Still a few singles seats available for the LA shows. But these prices are cray-cray.
It'll be a crowd of mostly 1 percenters.
Discouraged. Haven't seen them in concert since the outside one in Minneapolis in 1976 I think it was. Stevie Nicks mesmerized me that day and the band was great. Too big a struggle now to get tickets with so many resellers to have to check, all with ridiculous prices I cannot afford to x2 on for bad seats. Reconciling myself that I can't go, after trying 2 presale events over the past days and today's general public. Watched for 2nd show added too, but unfortunately the first show's apparently not getting one. Rats. Big sad face.
I realize this blog gets acknowledgment and some sort of indirect support from Fleetwood Mac HQ, but all of this cheery zeitgeist about buying tickets is tempered by the reality that tickets are being made artifically scarce in an effort to induce panic buying at extortionary prices. You know that there is something seriously amiss when it is impossible to buy a pair of seats together one minute after tickets go on sale in a 15,000-seat arena.
promoters and third party ticket holders that what this world has come too. I knew better and bought 650 dollar tickets per ticket10 row in boston. cuz I knew better that I was not going to get anythimgcloser or cheaper. sad.
I agree with the person above about inducing panic buying by making tickets unavailable. I tried to get tickets to the Minneapolis show on AXS.com only to find there were NO seats available. I tried for an hour and a half straight RIGHT from when they went on sale and not even a SINGLE seat could be found. Today, I see AXS has a link on their website to take you directly to Stubhub.com where you can buy a front row ticket for $3,852 each. Why is this even legal??
Pretty disappointed the Minneapolis show was sold out before I could get home from work to purchase two seats. I was even willing to pay up to $550.00 for two seats, but by the time I was able to get online the only two seats I could find were VIP which were $550 each. I love this band but I could not justify $1100.00 for two tickets.
I did find that a third party site - TicketDown - had various seats within the TargetCenter here in Minneapolis available for various prices, so I wonder how many of the seats were scooped up by these third party sites? If it's illegal for an individual to stand outside and scalp tickets why is this legal?
I don't understand the system at all! I got a decent seat right off the bat for Dallas on TM, but exactly at the time the sale started, the "best available" seat was nosebleed in the very back of the arena. I bought it, thinking they were going to sell out, and then checked back every hour all day, and the best available seat kept getting closer and closer to the stage. I finally got a floor seat, so I'll have to sell the original nosebleed I bought. But why does this happen? I got a 7th row seat easily last year's tour, I think maybe by waiting a few days/weeks after the sale started? I thought that might be too risky this go-round.
Well, I don't understand why third-party sites are allowed to buy a bunch of tickets only to resell them. Clearly that's what TicketDown has done, unless they are somehow connected to AXS? I know what you mean though ^^ ^^ Anonymous - I was able to get tickets to last year's tour very easily, exceptional seats days after. Don't get me wrong, it's great for the band when they sell out and I don't begrudge that, but third party sites need to stay out of it.
*** end rant***
this is why i wish the band would step in and get some kind of fan club seating for their big fans. They have that right to do so if it was managed right. i hope the band is not behind any of this scamming going on cuz this is wrong we should not be treated like this. Most other big bands have some kind of fan club set up i still think mick behind some of this with his $750 meet and greet seats sorry just my opion. coming from a true fan.
