Watch as Fleetwood Mac tells Access about the story and message of their 2014 world tour. Plus, what's it like to have Christine McVie back with the group after a 16 year absence?
I love the energy she's re-instilled in the rest of the band. I saw the Say You Will Tour twice, the Unleashed Tour once, and last year's tour once. Of those four shows I have to say the Unleashed Tour was the best show I saw. The other three shows were good, but the two SYW shows and the show I caught last year just seemed to lack enthusiasm. The band knocked it out of the park each time, don't get me wrong, but there was just an energy that was missing ...
I caught the Minneapolis show this year; I was a bit nervous because it was opening night. Not only did the band rock as usual, but everyone seemed happy and energetic. Stevie seemed a lot happier in her performances, matching herself up with Christine and Lindsey. Lindsey also seemed to be having a better time onstage. So yes, I would say Christine has re-energized this band. I can't wait for them to go back in the studio.
It's amazing what her return has done to this band.
ReplyDeleteWould that be new FM music at couple of places playing in the background?????
ReplyDeleteAre they coming back to Australia???
ReplyDeleteWonder how the back catalogue is selling at the moment.... pretty good is my estimate..
ReplyDeleteChristine is the coolest character in this band!
