Fleetwood Mac will undertake a new album “A whole album, we have plenty of songs,” - Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks: Fleetwood Mac Will Record New Album, Group Has “Plenty” of Songs.

Stevie told me that Fleetwood Mac’s long world tour is finally over. Now they will undertake a new album. Not just the four songs they released for download in 2014. “A whole album, we have plenty of songs,” she advised. This will be most welcome.

I'm sure it's just a typo, but the four songs released for download were released in 2013, not 2014.

Not seeing a tour in 2016 with the mac, if the album comes out in 16 maybe if it comes out in late fall then maybe in 17 that also will be 40 years of rumors just saying.

Best news of 2015! A NEW FM album ! Any idea of a release date?

Innocent little darlings - this is a major announcement that was given to the fans and expected to cause little earthquakes - why are there only 5 responses here? There is going to be a new Fleetwood Mac album with the fabulous five! This is historic and ...don't make me go there...

If you go to the source link, you'll see the following update: "UPDATE MONDAY DEC 7: Stevie says she’s going to work on several “Solo” projects before a Fleetwood Mac album. Mick Fleetwood is working on a Fleetwood Mac project of some kind without her. Rumours! It’s all “over my head” at this point."

Oh well....

I want a new Mac album just as much as I want another Stevie vault record. However if you go back and read her interviews over the last year it's clear she's not really feeling it right now. After a tour that went on WAY too long, they're all undoubtedly exhausted. I would rather Stevie take six or seven months and satisfy her creative solo needs, and then return to Fleetwood Mac refreshed and ready to give the band 110%. The music would suffer if she just wasn't feeling it. As for the project Mick is working on, perhaps he's working on some remasters of other Mac albums (obviously pure speculation there LOL)?

I don't understand why people would say that the tour went on way too long. People in Canada, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand also wanted the opportunity to see the concerts! Plus, it was a hugely successful tour. Why cut off a successful tour?

Of course there will be a new Mac CD! There's gold in them thar hills! There must be plenty of songs for a project....and u know miss Stevie will be on the CD! You can't have a new Mac CD without Stevie! It would not be sensible economically wise....I bet it won't be out till probably summer or fall of 2016.....as far as new nicks CD.....we could see that in 2018....cuz u know if they tour the new CD in the states it would be 2017 so that will keep Stevie busy....they all will keep working it a few more years...no doubt $$$$ !!!

Let Stevie and Mick does their separate projects. Stevie has already said she wants to tour with 24 Karat Gold and also do the songs from In Your Dreams that she didn't perform on that tour. And she feels a duty to her solo band to employ them and they haven't worked since 2012. And Fleetwood Mac always takes their time in the studio. I would bet it will be 2017 at the earliest that we see the new Mac album. Becide the fact that they just toured the 2013, 2014, and 2015. They need a couple years off before touring again. And when the album/tour happen it will probably be their swan song as Fleetwood Mac. And that's the way it should be, a grand farewell to one of the greatest rock groups in history.

I'm very disappointed in the new "Tusk" release. I mean 5 CD's, and not one single unreleased, never-before-heard song!!! All the "unreleased" songs are alternate versions of songs already on the album, and like 10 versions of "I Know I'm Now Wrong" !!!! It seems to be a waste of CDs and a waste of money - Perhaps the single CD remastered version would be worth the money, but the whole Deluxe packages appears to be a total waste in my opinion. There were so many songs they COULD have added that were recorded during the Tusk sessions that won't be there, like Stevie's "Sorcerer" (recorded in 1978/9), the original FM version of "Beauty and the Beast", as well as many others. Yet, none of these appear. All that's there are the same original 18-20 songs with various alternate versions of many of them. It just seems stupid to me.

I do hope a new FM album does come out sometime in 2016. Stevie can do other solo stuff too, that would be cool, but a new FM album with the hit-making line-up of Mick, John, Christine, Lindsay and Stevie would be amazing ... No doubt will definitely be their last and final LP - I'd bet anything on that fact, so I'm so hoping it'll really happen.

On the meet ad greet with Mick at the O2 in London i asked him about what was next for the band. He said that they plan to get an album out and then tour it in 2017, and as someone already mentioned, that's 40 years since Rumours, 30 since Tango in the Night, 20 since The Dance and probably most importantly 50 years since the band was formed

hope they all come back to Amsterdam again!!!!!
