Former Fleetwood Mac member Billy Burnette sends "Rock N Roll With It" To Triple A

Billy Burnette (former Fleetwood Mac member '87 to '95) has released a new album titled "Rock N Roll With It".  His latest single, the album title track, has recently been released to 100's of Triple A stations around the US.  Check out the Rockabillyblues website for an extensive listing of stations sent the track and if one happens to be in your area - request they play the song.

Billy's history with Fleetwood Mac goes way back even before he joined the band officially.  He first joined Mick Fleetwood's "The Zoo" in the early 80's and released one album "Shaking The Cage" with them.  He wrote "So Excited" with Christine McVie which appeared on her 2nd solo album in 1984 and also appeared with Christine live on the taping of "Christine McVie The Video Album".  He backed up Lindsey Buckingham during his Saturday Night Live appearance in the early 80's plus did a duet with Stevie on "Are You Mine".  He officially joined Fleetwood Mac in 1987, prior to the "Tango In The Night" world tour.  With Billy in the band they released "Greatest Hits" in 1988 "Behind The Mask" in 1990" and "Time" in 1995 - all of which Billy appeared on.  He also contributed to John McVie's only solo album in 1992 "John McVie's Gotta Band".

Here's a recent interview with Billy.  He talks about the all the artists he's played with + how his involvement with Fleetwood Mac came to be. Rockabillyblues

NEW ON YOUTUBE: Christine McVie Live at The Country Club 1983

Tremendous quality video of this '83 concert...

"While McVie never toured as a solo act, she has performed a few dates to promote her solo work. In this series of clips, McVie was promoting her (at that point) upcoming 1984 self-titled album. The lovely pop-infused disc was released in January of 1984 and was a modest success. The album spawned two Top 40 Billboard hits (the #10 "Got A Hold On Me" -- also a great video -- and the #30 "Love Will Show Us How") and the LP peaked at #24 on Billboards Top 200. This concert was recorded on December 16 1983 at the Country Club in LA. Assisted by guitarist Todd Sharp, (future FM guitarist) Billy Burnett, bassist George Hawkins and drummer Steve Ferrone (all musicians who also played on her album) -- along with special guest Mick Fleetwood -- she performs a lively set of new songs and a few FM classics."

FLEETWOOD MAC PRODUCER PASSES AWAY

Greg Ladanyi, producer/engineer of Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits collection and 1990's Behind The Mask has passed away at the age of 57.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maple Jam Music Group President, Greg Ladanyi, today, at the age of 57. Ladanyi sustained severe head trauma following an on-stage accident last Friday in the Greek Republic of Cyprus. Ladanyi was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition over the weekend. He was in Cyprus touring with Maple Jam Music artist, Anna Vissi.
