Stevie Nicks Praises 'Lovely' Michael J. Fox amid His Parkinson's Journey: 'He Just Keeps Going'

Stevie Nicks is supporting an important cause and giving props to the "lovely" Michael J. Fox.

On Saturday, Nov. 16, the 76-year-old Fleetwood Mac musician stepped out in New York City for The Michael J. Fox Foundation's yearly A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s gala, where she performed a few songs and raved about Fox — all while helping to celebrate his foundation's ongoing dedication to Parkinson's aid with research.

"He is here tonight. And he just keeps going," Nicks told PEOPLE of Fox, 63, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 1991 and went public with his diagnosis in 1998. "He got this pretty early. A long time ago. He’s had an amazing career, and he is the face of this. And when they asked me if I wanted to do this, I said of course I want to do it, you know?"

"He’s such a lovely guy. He could have just given up on all this kind of thing a long time ago and he didn’t," she added of his efforts, as Fox developed the MJFF in 2001. "And that’s so magical."

Nicks, who added that Fox is "an amazing guitar player," also posed for some photos on the Cipriani South Street carpet with Fox, his wife Tracy Pollan and fellow musician Maggie Rogers. During the event, the Back to the Future star wore a navy suit and brown paisley-print dress shirt, while Nicks opted for a stylish all-black look.

The gala, which salutes the MJFF's efforts throughout the year alongside patients, families, scientists and donors, was hosted by Denis Leary and featured some music from Nicks and Fox himself, who shared the stage alongside Rogers, 30.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Fox opened up at the event about maintaining his sense of humor, and how he works to ensure that it always shines through. As he explained, maintaining a darker sense of humor is actually “hard for me," adding, “I gotta keep it intact.” He also called his foundation's latest event “so exciting."

“I can’t believe — a lot of these people I’ve known for years and years — they’re so kind to me,” he said. “I think because they see an opportunity for a win, for a big advancement, and that’s what we’re working toward.”

The annual gala has raised $116 million toward Parkinson's disease research so far, with the foundation raising $2 billion total since its inception. Fox previously explained to CBS Mornings during a 2023 interview that his efforts seek to give a voice to the voiceless.

"They didn't have money, they didn't have a voice, and I thought, I could step in for these people and raise some hell," Fox said on the morning show. "It's not a cure. But it's a big spotlight on where we need to go, and what we need to focus on so we know we're on the right path, and we're very proud."

The MJFF's latest gala in N.Y.C. comes just months after their Nashville-based A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's event in April, which featured appearances from Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town and Jason Isbell.

On a trip to New York City earlier this month to appear on "Saturday Night Live" for the first time since 1983, Stevie Nicks said she was scared to death. She said her first reaction when she got the call to appear on "SNL" was, "Absolutely not. Because I was terrified to do it, 'cause it goes out live!"

But she did appear on "SNL," and her performance of "The Lighthouse" brought down the house.

She says the inspiration for her latest song, a rallying cry for women's rights, struck a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned, and it took her less than a day to write the song and record it.

Smith asked, "It takes some courage to step into the waters of the abortion debate. Why take the risk?"

"Because everybody kept saying, 'Well, somebody has to do something. Somebody has to say something,'" replied Nicks. "And I'm like, 'Well, I have a platform. I tell a good story. So maybe I should try to do something.' I was also there. I was, been there, done that."

In the late '70s, Nicks was on top of the world with the legendary band Fleetwood Mac. She'd broken up with her longtime partner and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham, and she was romantically involved with Don Henley of The Eagles when she found out she was pregnant, and decided that, as a touring musician, being a mother was not in the cards. 

In 1979 she terminated the pregnancy. "In my younger life, I'd already decided I didn't want to have somebody have their feelings hurt all the time, and like, 'When are you comin' back?' 'Well, I don't know. I'll be back when I get back,' you know?" Nicks said. "And not even having any idea how big that Fleetwood Mac was going to get in the future, you know? And this is, like, super personal and weird, so you know ... you can edit this out if necessary."

"I appreciate your sharing this story though," said Smith.

"Well, and it's a good story, too. I tell a good story!" Nicks said. "I got pregnant. And it was like, Why? I have an IUD. I am totally protected. I have a great gynecologist. How come this has happened? What the heck?"

"So you took all the precautions?"

"Yes. And I'm like, This can't be happening. Fleetwood Mac is three years in. And it's big. And we're going into our third album. It was like, Oh no, no, no, no, no, no."

Nicks said it would have "destroyed" Fleetwood Mac if she had had the baby: "Absolutely, because many reasons. I would've, like, tried my best to get through, you know, being in the studio every single day expecting a child. But mostly, having a child with Don Henley would not have gone over big in Fleetwood Mac, with Lindsey and me – we had been broken up for two or three years. It would've been a nightmare scenario for me to live through."

Every second feels like an ­eternity when you’re hovering four inches from Stevie Nicks, noodling around with her blouse. This is Stevie Nicks, the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice — as a member of Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist. Stevie Nicks, whose legendary shawl collection resides in its own temperature-controlled vault. Stevie Nicks, who, at 76, has become an obsession of younger generations, from her American Horror Story appearance to the original poem she wrote for Taylor Swift’s Tortured Poets Department to a recent viral TikTok video, where she intensely stares down her ex-boyfriend and bandmate Lindsey Buckingham during a 1997 performance of “Silver Springs.” (Yes, Nicks has seen it.)  

This is also Stevie Nicks, who’s somehow gotten a long, spiraled, gold ring she’s wearing stuck in the mesh fabric of her blouse, requiring the up-close-and-personal assistance of an interviewer she met only minutes ago.

She is surprisingly nonchalant as I lean over her, delicately unwinding the thread from each loop of the ring. “It happened [recently] onstage,” she says of the ring tangling. “It was stuck on my ‘Gold Dust Woman’ cape, and the most handsome guy on our entire tour ran out and was down on one knee trying to undo it. I felt like a princess in a Cinderella movie.” She laughs. I loosen up. Miraculously, I free the material from the ring without a single tear. “Thank you, honey,” she says sweetly. 

Nicks has been in Philadelphia for the past three days, wrapping up a massive tour and recording a Christmas song with former NFL star Jason Kelce. Tonight, she’s in her signature all-black attire, save for hot-pink hair ties that hold her blond, elegant French braid. Her tiny Chinese crested dog, Lily, saunters in and out of the room, occasionally sitting on her lap and staring at the massive charcuterie plate in front of us. 

The spread will go untouched over the next three and a half hours while Nicks takes me on a wild ride through her life — and, at one point, into the bedroom to meet her Stevie Nicks Barbies. There’s the prototype, dressed in her beloved “Rhiannon” black dress, and the official Stevie Barbie, released last fall. Nicks didn’t love Barbies as a child, but there’s something special about this doll. “I never in a million years thought this little thing would have such an effect on me,” she says, holding the miniature Gold Dust Woman. 

Nicks is as prolific and driven as ever. She’s also unmoored from her famous band. After a successful tour with the classic Fleetwood Mac lineup in 2014 and 2015, Buckingham ran into conflict with his bandmates — and with Nicks in particular — leading to him being fired from the group in 2018. The 2022 death of Christine McVie, whom Nicks calls “my musical soulmate,” truly seems to have ended the band; Nicks says she’s done with Fleetwood Mac for good. Instead, she launched a two-year-long solo tour, which just wrapped a couple of evenings before we talk at the 30,000-seat Hersheypark Stadium.

She’ll perform to millions shortly after our conversation, when she appears as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live for the first time in more than 40 years. When she steps onto the stage at Studio 8H, she’ll play her women’s-rights anthem “The Lighthouse,” which Nicks wrote following the demise of Roe v. Wade. Featuring Sheryl Crow on guitar, it’s a cathartic rocker in which Nicks compares herself to a lighthouse, guiding women and encouraging them to stand up for their power. 

Stevie Nicks’ SNL Performance Sparks iTunes Chart Resurgence

Following Stevie’s performance on *Saturday Night Live*, her music catalog saw a significant boost on iTunes, with both her latest single, "The Lighthouse," and the classic hit "Edge of Seventeen" making a notable impact—both songs were performed during the show.

On October 13th, *The Lighthouse* re-entered the iTunes Top 100 at No. 17 after peaking at No. 3 following its initial release on September 27th. As of Monday afternoon, the single has climbed back to No. 3 on the chart.

*Edge of Seventeen* re-entered the Top 100 at No. 81 on October 13th, reaching a peak of No. 37. Currently, it sits at No. 39 as of Monday, October 14th.

On the Top 100 Rock Songs Chart, *The Lighthouse* has held the No. 1 position since October 13th, while *Edge of Seventeen* peaked at No. 3. Additional charting tracks include *Stand Back*—peaking at No. 15 and currently at No. 16—*Leather and Lace* at No. 20, and *Stop Draggin' My Heart Around* at No. 32.

Regarding albums, *Crystal Visions: The Very Best of Stevie Nicks* peaked at No. 66 on the iTunes Top 200 Albums, while *Bella Donna* reached No. 179.

It’s remarkable how a single appearance on a show can reignite interest in an artist’s catalog. Even Fleetwood Mac’s songs and albums have seen a resurgence as a result.

Nicks first sang “The Lighthouse,” a call-to-action for women’s rights that she wrote shortly after Roe v. Wade was overturned two summers ago.

“Don’t let them take your power / Don’t leave it alone in the final hours,” she sings. “Don’t close your eyes and hope for the best / The dark is out there, the light is going fast.”

Nicks, although not explicitly endorsing a presidential candidate, recently praised Taylor Swift’s message supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

Nicks’ second performance was a rousing rendition of “Edge of Seventeen,” one of the standout tracks from her 1981 debut solo album, Bella Donna.

“Edge of Seventeen” is also ranked number 217 on Rolling Stone‘s “Greatest Songs” list.

"The Lighthouse" was released last month as a rally cry for women, intended to reinvigorate the fight for reproductive healthcare. "I have my scars, you have yours/ Don't let them, take your power," she sings. "They'll take your soul, they'll take your power, unless you save it." What a ballad.

As noted, Nicks first played 8H way back in the early '80s. Gary Kroeger recalls that season 8 performance: "I was in my 20s when she did SNL during my time there! When she came on the scene 10 years earlier, I was in my teens! Was I a fan of Stevie Nicks? Of course I was! She was one of, if not the Goddess of Rock and Roll. I was too nervous to say hello. My recollection was that she didn't hang out much and I don't recall her at the after-party, but that doesn't mean my memory is correct. Only that I was too shy to say anything. She was terrific on the show."

Sheryl Crow plays guitar and bass, and sings on this track, which she co-produced. (And yes, she has played at 8H three times.)

Stevie Nicks is reflecting on her first solo Saturday Night Live appearance that almost ended in disaster.

The "Landslide" singer and on-and-off Fleetwood Mac member said a last-minute lineup change in her band nearly tanked her Dec. 10, 1983, performance on the show, she told PEOPLE. "You know, we practiced and practiced, and everything went well," Nicks said. "At the time, I had my friend who wrote 'Stand Back,' and she was gonna do the second song, which was called 'Nightbird' — and she freaked out and had terrible stage fright, so she couldn't do it."

That's when Lori Perry jumped in to save the day. "So one of my singers, who ended up being my sister-in-law Lori, she said, 'I'll do it,' and she's crazy, but she said, 'I'll do it,'" Nicks recalled. "This is literally right before we went on, and so we went on and we did it, and it came out perfect!"

The "Dreams" singer said the last-minute chaos inadvertently added to the performance's power. "It was one of those shows, that even with that horrible wrench that was thrown in the middle of it, it came off beautifully," she said. "I've never been so proud of anything as I was of that night. It was a magical show, and I was thrilled, and it definitely kicked my solo career up."

Nicks noted that her SNL debut came about two and a half years into her solo career. She released her first solo album, Bella Donna, in 1981, spawning her acclaimed solo hit, "Edge of Seventeen." Her second solo album, The Wild Heart, came out in June 1983, about six months before her SNL performance.

Despite her success as a solo artist, Nicks remained anxious about performing on SNL. "It was nerve-wracking because it was not Fleetwood Mac; it was my solo career, so it was very scary to go on the show when you've been in a huge band and now you're going on Saturday Night Live as a solo artist," she said.

Nicks will return as a musical guest for the first time since 1983, and she still sees performing on the NBC show as a tremendous achievement despite seismic shifts in the entertainment landscape. "Performing on Saturday Night Live is now as it was then. It’s just about the biggest thing you can do, bigger than a stadium show because it's going to go out all over the world," she said. "So if you wanna talk about being nervous about something! It doesn't matter how many shows you've done or how much you practice, you're going to be nervous!"

Nicks plans to perform her new track "The Lighthouse," which was written as a response to the Supreme Court's overturning of Roe v. Wade. "I'm really excited to play the new song," she said. "You can never say that Saturday Night Live does not help you to gain lots of new followers, younger people, older people, etc. And so to be asked to do it again... I never thought I would do it again — so to be asked to do it again has thrown me into an absolute nervous frenzy, but I'm really excited."

Stevie Nicks will perform on the third episode of Saturday Night Live's 50th season, hosted by Ariana Grande, on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Stevie Nicks returned a little more than a week ago with “The Lighthouse,” her latest solo single. The Fleetwood Mac star’s fan base snapped up copies of the tune the moment it dropped, and they’ve collectively sent the song to multiple charts in the U.K. this week, immediately making it into something of a quick, if minor, hit.

“The Lighthouse” launches on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads charts this time around. Coincidentally, the tune is new at No. 48 on the two tallies.

It’s not entirely uncommon for songs to debut in similar spots on those two rankings, as they are both ranked based on pure purchases. Most sales of individual tracks take place on download storefronts like iTunes and Amazon, so it makes sense that new arrivals on the Official Singles Downloads list would also perform just as well–or, almost as well–on the Official Singles Sales roster at the same time.

“The Lighthouse” marks Nicks’ second solo hit on the Official Singles Sales chart. She debuted on the list of the top-selling songs in the U.K. in 2020. That year, “Edge of Seventeen” peaked at No. 7, and it still stands as her top placement.

Nicks’ latest offering marks her fourth career win on the Official Singles Downloads ranking. It’s her second-highest appearance, coming in ahead of the No. 72 high point that “Dreams” by Deep Dish reached years ago, as well as the No. 98 peak that “Show Them the Way” mustered.

“The Lighthouse” stands as the fifth-highest debut on the Official Singles Downloads chart, landing behind tracks from Kylie Minogue, Callum Beattie, Jack Savoretti and Miles Kane, and Josh Baker. On the Official Singles Sales list, Nicks claims the sixth-loftiest entrant. In addition to the five names mentioned above, The Veronicas also hit the tally with their years-old single “Untouched,” which reaches the list for the first time.

Nicks released “The Lighthouse” as a means to inspire discussions about women’s rights and the issue of abortion. For the moment, the track is a standalone single, as it’s not connected to any larger project–at least for the time being.

Says 6ABC, A Philly Special Christmas Party will reunite Jason Kelce with his old teammates/current Eagles Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata in the sound booth, and include contributions from Boyz II Men, Travis Kelce, and more TBA. Here’s where it would be fun to start a rumor that Taylor Swift is involved, but that’s already been shot down. As always, Charlie Hall of the War on Drugs will produce the record.

Combined, the previous two Philly Specials records raised three million dollars for charity. Think how much they’d make this time if Tay showed up to sing, like, “Jingle Bell Rock Girl” with the Dead Milkmen. Too bad she’s not cool and hates charity.

The album will be available on November 29th.

The Record |Store Day list was announced and the only inclusion related to Fleetwood Mac is the release of Stevie's latest single "The Lighthouse" on 7 inch white vinyl.  It appears to be a US exclusive as it doesn't appear on the UK or Canadian Record Store listings.  With only 5,000 units available, it should go fast.  This is the first commercially available single Stevie has released since probably the 90's.

Stevie Nicks has never been afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and she’s continuing to do so with her new single. The beloved musician dropped “The Lighthouse” on Friday (September 27), and it quickly became a bestseller in the U.S.

After hours of slowly climbing the American iTunes chart, “The Lighthouse” now appears inside the top 10 on the list of the bestselling tracks in the country. Nicks’ latest sits at No. 8, as of the time of writing.

Nicks claims one of four new top 10s on the iTunes ranking. She comes in behind Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood’s “I’m Gonna Love You” and “Timeless” by The Weeknd and Playboi Carti. Just one rung following the Fleetwood Mac star come Timcast and Phil Labonte, who push their odd collaboration “Coming Home” into the important region.

“The Lighthouse” appears to be a standalone single, as no larger project has been announced yet from the star, and it is Nicks’ first new release of 2024. She joined Dolly Parton on “What Has Rock and Roll Ever Done for You” in 2023, and her cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth” dropped the year prior.

In a press release announcing “The Lighthouse,” Nicks’ team shared a statement from the singer-songwriter about the tune. The Grammy winner says, “I wrote this song a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned. It seemed like overnight, people were saying ‘what can we, as a collective force, do about this…’ For me, it was to write a song.” She goes on to claim that when it comes to her latest cut, “I have often said to myself, ‘This may be the most important thing I ever do. To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters—and the men that love them.’”

“The Lighthouse” was written by Nicks, Magnus Birgersson, and Vincent Villuis. The single was produced by the singer herself, as well as superstar producer Dave Cobb. Another powerhouse musician, Sheryl Crow, is credited as a producer as well, and she also provided background vocals for the song.

Nicks is scheduled to serve as the musical guest on the October 12 episode of Saturday Night Live. With a new single out, there’s a good chance she’ll introduce viewers to the song, which may help it once again when it comes to sales and streams, perhaps making the tune into a hit—if it hasn’t already become at least a minor one by that point.

You’ll Get Chills Hearing Stevie Nicks’ New Women’s Rights Anthem Ahead of her appearance on Saturday Night Live, the icon drops the cathartic rocker "The Lighthouse"

Stevie Nicks has logged on. The icon dropped “The Lighthouse,” a stellar anthem for women’s rights.

Co-written with Magnus Birgersson and Vincent Villuis, the track opens with Nicks’ vocals and subtle instrumentation, before unfurling into a full-blown cathartic rocker. “I have my scars/You have yours,” she sings. “Don’t let them take your power.”

In the powerful video below, Nicks stands inside a lighthouse, surrounded by iconic Stevie imagery (white doves and gothic candelabras) accompanied by female protest signs. Soon she fronts a powerful crowd of women on a turbulent beach, charging forward.

“I wrote this song a few months after Roe v. Wade was overturned,” Nicks said in a statement. “It seemed like overnight, people were saying ‘What can we, as a collective force, do about this?’ For me, it was to write a song. It took a while because I was on the road. Then early one morning, I was watching the news on TV and a certain newscaster said something that felt like she was talking to me — explaining what the loss of Roe v. Wade would come to mean. I wrote the song the next morning and recorded it that night.”

She continued: “That was Sept. 6, 2022. I have been working on it ever since. I have often said to myself, ‘This may be the most important thing I ever do.’ To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters — and the men that love them. This is an anthem.”

“The Lighthouse” marks Nicks’ first new music since her 2022 cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “For What It’s Worth.” On Oct. 12, she’ll appear as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live, alongside Ariana Grande as host. It marks her first time on the sketch-comedy show since 1983.

Earlier this month, Nicks praised Taylor Swift’s viral post endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris, posting a similar photothat featured a dog instead of a cat. “As my friend @taylorswift13 so eloquently stated, now is the time to research and choose the candidate that speaks to you and your beliefs,” she wrote. She concluded the message with a cheeky dig at J.D. Vance, signing it “Childless Dog Lady.”

Stevie Nicks Wrote New Pro-Choice Anthem After She Saw Roe v. Wade 'Taken Away': ‘I Find It Very Sad’ (Exclusive)

The music icon — who released her new song on Friday, Sept. 27 — has said "there would have been no Fleetwood Mac" if she hadn't gotten an abortion in 1979.

Stevie Nicks is raising her voice once again.

The rock legend released a new pro-choice anthem "The Lighthouse" — her first new original solo track in four years — on Friday, Sept. 27.

"Don’t close your eyes and hope for the best / The dark is out there / The light is going fast / Until the final hours," she sings. "Your life’s changed forever / And all the rights that you had yesterday / Are taken away / And now you’re afraid / You should be afraid.”

Nicks wrote the heavy, atmospheric song in 2022, after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade that June, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion.

“I find it very sad, at 76 years old, I had to see Roe v. Wade taken away," Nicks tells PEOPLE exclusively in an email interview. "Two years ago, when I realized the consequences of women’s rights that are vanishing, I watched a lot of news, and I was like a sponge — it just went into me.”

Following the news, the Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee channeled that sadness into song.

“One morning I woke up… which, I never write when I wake up in the morning, and all of a sudden went, ‘I have my scars, I have my scars,’ so I just grabbed my notebook, and I started writing the whole thing," she says. "It was a long-form poem, and I didn't know what kind of song that would be. I found an instrumental that I loved and within two or three days, I had recorded the song. I never redid the vocal — it's an original vocal — and it's taken me two years.”

Ever since, the Fleetwood Mac alum has been fine-tuning the track, working with some A-list collaborators along the way.

"This song has traveled around; it has been in the hands of many producers, of many musicians, of many people that have helped with it. Sheryl Crow, bless her, came in and was such a help with the production. Dave Cobb did the incredible classical guitar chords and was the first producer I worked with on the song," she says. "I’ve been touring solidly for two years, so the whole time, we've been working on this song. I never thought it would take two years to get it to the point where it was perfect.”

The topic of women's reproductive rights is a personal one for Nicks, who in 2020 revealed to The Guardian that she "would have had to walk away" from Fleetwood Mac if she didn't get an abortion in 1979. Without the procedure, "I’m pretty sure there would have been no Fleetwood Mac," she added at the time.

Now, she tells PEOPLE, “All the stories that we tell about the necessity for women's healthcare and the necessity for a safe and legal abortion option for women is absolutely necessary."

Nicks wrote the track on Sept. 26, 2022.

Nicks — who has two remaining dates of her latest tour — is set to perform on Saturday Night Live for the first time in 41 years on Oct. 12.

NEW Stevie Nicks Single "The Lighthouse" Announced!

Late Wednesday evening Stevie Nicks dropped a teaser to her new single "The Lighthouse" on social media announcing the release date of Friday, September 27, 2024.

The song was written in September 2022 and the lyrics were posted on Stevie's social media. It's a call-to-action song in response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The last line of the song is used in the teaser.

Stevie Nicks Saturday Night Live Musical Guest October 12th

Stevie Nicks, for the first time since 1983, will be the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live," October 12th, with Ariana Grande hosting the show.

Stevie Nicks was the musical guest on Dec. 10, 1983, performing "Stand Back" and "Nightbird," both from her new No.5 charting album that year "The Wild Heart".

Stevie Nicks explains infection that led to hospitalization in Glasgow

Stevie Nicks opens up about infection that forced the postponement of two shows

Stevie Nicks took the stage in Glasgow, Scotland, on Wednesday after previously postponing her show in the city, and she explained to fans what kept her from performing in the first place.

In fan-shot footage posted to YouTube, Stevie revealed she got an infection that led to her hospitalization.  

“When I got here I was just really excited to be in Glasgow,” she told the audience. “And I don’t know what happened, I just got this weird infection, and it just went crazy.”

Stevie shared that she had gotten to Glasgow a few days early in order to enjoy the city and was staying at a castle when she realized something was wrong.

“I finally looked at my assistant, it was like 2 in the morning, and I said, ‘I think we need to go to emergency,’ and she looked at me and I just said, ‘I’m not kidding, I think we need to go to the hospital,'” she said.

The butler then sped Stevie to the hospital, where she wound up staying for two days. 

“They let me go back to the castle, and we canceled this show,” she said. “This whole tour I’ve been fighting what started here, and I would be damned if I wasn’t coming back here.” 

Stevie’s Glasgow show was originally supposed to take place on July 6, with the postponement blamed on “a recent leg injury requiring a minor surgical procedure that will need a few days of recovery time.” She also postponed a show in Manchester.

Wednesday night’s makeup show was the last date of Stevie’s European tour. She has two more U.S. shows on the books for 2024: Sept. 24 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Sept. 28 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Stevie's thanks to 'special' Scottish medical team

She commended the help and hospitality she was given by the medical team: “I was so looked after there.

“You are a really special country and a really special people.”

The ‘Edge of Seventeen’ singer comment that ‘she was happy as she got to stay in the castle a couple more days’ as she adored staying there and the country.

Nicks told the crowd how she has been "battling this the whole tour" to which the crowd gave her a rapturous round of applause.

Before she said with determination: “But, I would be damned if I wasn’t coming back here to play this show and finish this tour.”

At the end of the emotional show, Nicks brought all her crew, band and friends on stage to thank them as the rescheduled date had meant it had turned out to be the last gig in her two-year tour.

Nicks said: “This is our last show, we’ve been on the road for two-years now and this is the final, final show."
