Billboard charts this week are set to incur a Mac attack.

Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" is primed to re-enter the Billboard 200, possibly within the top 30, while the band's Stevie Nicks could crash the top 10 with "In Your Dreams," her first studio album since 2001.

Concurrently, multiple "Glee" cast covers of tracks from "Rumours," unveiled on last Tuesday's (May 3) episode, are likely to dent the Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs charts to be released Thursday (May 12) on Billboard.com.

While "Glee" paid tribute to Fleetwood Mac's seminal album last week, Nicks' latest bow further illustrates the band's three famed lead vocalists' successful solo careers.

Here is a look at five hits, over 30 years, that Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have scored while on break from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-enshrined legendary band.

Anne Rice Honored by Stevie Nicks for "New Orleans" song mention...

"I just got my first letter from a person who says he is trying my work thanks to the new Stevie Nicks song. I must say, I'm honored by Stevie Nicks' mention of me in that song. And hearing it makes me so homesick for New Orleans. So home sick for the oaks of uptown and the twilight sky over the Garden District, and the breeze off the river."

1st Weeks Album Sales so far... Stevie Nicks 'In Your Dreams'

We know Adele will be No.1, that's a given... But where will Nicks end up debuting this week on the charts... The suspense is killing me.

Hits Daily Double gives the most accurate account [I think] of what numbers are being sold in the Top 50 and where they eventually end up placing on the big Billboard Top 200 Album Chart...

So far 36.20% of retailers have reported... and Nicks is No.5 with 16,874. This will obviously change and the final tally may not be known until tomorrow...  Early predictions had her selling 40-45k the first week.

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours is at No. 21 with 7,373 so far in sales...

(Review) Stevie Nicks 'In Your Dreams' Releases her finest work seven albums and 30 years into a solo career

Stevie Nicks Returns ‘In Your Dreams’
BY GABE O

"With an industry of manufactured “singers,” it’s a rarity to encounter a viable artist who has survived decades as a performer, much less releasing their finest work seven albums and 30 years into a solo career"

Among the whirlwind of lyrical perfection found in Stevie Nicks’ new record is the blissfully-nostalgic track “For What It’s Worth,” where she coos of a rock star life only an icon like Nicks could have lived: “I got to sing, I got to dance, I got to be a part of the great romance…” The stories of her loves and tumultuous relationships are legendary, and resulted in some of music’s most memorable and well-known songs.

In Your Dreams – Nicks’ first studio album in a decade – is a classic addition to this magical catalog, and may be her finest solo effort to date.

Produced almost entirely by the Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, Nicks’ seventh studio album is a return to a musical consistency not heard from since the Jimmy Iovine-produced Bella Donna, released nearly 30 years ago. Vocally she soars, with her voice having adopting a rich huskiness that growls and croons throughout the record. The new register has benefited Nicks, most notably on the love ballad “Italian Summer,” which features some of the finest vocals of her career.

(Review) Rock On, Ancient Queen - Stevie Nicks is back (The New Yorker)

by Sasha Frere-Jones

"Nicks’s mode of songwriting is as concrete as her outfits are diaphanous. Her lyrics are plainspoken, generally narrative, and lower on symbology than her fans seem to think. Even though “Moonlight,” the first track on the new album, was inspired by the “Twilight” series of books and movies, vampirism isn’t the pull—it’s just the usual story of a coupling that is too logistically complicated to pull off."

'Rumours' has it....

Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" may re-enter the Billboard tally next week, thanks to the power of Fox's "Glee".  The TV series dedicated its entire May 3rd episode to the 1977 No. 1 album.  The Cast performed six of the set's 11 songs, while a seventh album track was heard in its original form as background music.  Early sales projections from industry sources suggest "Rumours" could move around 20,000 copies in the US in the week ending May 8th, which could place it among the top 30 on the billboard 200 next week.
