Edge of Seventeen Remix Update
Sorry it’s been forever and a day since posting back August that Steve Scalfati was on the short list of producers being sent tracks to refashion the classic Stevie Nicks song “Edge of Seventeen” from her 1981 album Bella Donna.
There have been a few blog watchers and Stevie fans checking in periodically to find out what is going on. After months of delays waiting for the vocals from the original album sessions to arrive, and other producers slated to do this remix dropping out for likely the same reasons,
Steven had this to say:
Thanks for checking in. I was very excited to have the opportunity to do this but the timing has just not worked out for me. It was taking a while to get the vocals and now I’m in the middle of a huge orchestral score which is essentially taking all of my time through mid December. I’m sure who ever ends up doing this will rock it!!! As a big Stevie fan myself, I’m also excited to hear what other re-mixers do for this one.
