STEWART COVERS STEVIE NICKS "STAND BACK" RELEASED IN NORTH AMERICA

ROD STEWARTS COVERS ALBUM INCLUDES STEVIE NICK'S "STAND BACK" Never Before Released in North America
If ONCE IN A BLUE MOON hasn't exactly been the Holy Grail for the Rod Stewart faithful, it's only because we didn't know what we were missing - until now. This unqiue collection of covers recorded in the summer 1992 is Maestro Stewart at his interpretive best - that magnificent voice yearning, pleading, and shouting in all its gravelly glory while serving as a lethal instrument for the legendary producer Trevor Horn. And though each of these ten tracks has been previously released in various forms in different mixes, together they form an exciting whole that places BLUE MOON squarely in the upper reaches of Rod's classic catalog.

Includes six tracks never-before-released in the U.S.

  • Contains two previously unissued hidden tracks
  • Features covers of the Stones' "Ruby Tuesday," Stevie Nicks' "Stand Back," Bob Dylan's "The Groom's Still Waiting At The Altar" and many more
  • Specially designed vintage long box
  • 12 tracks
Available through Rhino.com

Only one new shot so far up for grabs by Ken Regan on ebay. Another great shot of Christine McVie from 1976 in Oakland, CA - John and Lindsey visible in the backgroud.  This show looks so massive, yet the stage so small.

STEVIE DOES BUDDY
Oh... And Stevie Nicks is apparently working on a track for a Buddy Holly tribute album being put together by Peter Asher to mark the 50th anniversary of his death in February, 1959. (It'll be 51 years this February... Better get crackin'!)

The quote from the article:

“I’m in the studio producing a Buddy Holly tribute album for the 50th anniversary of his death,” he says of his current project. “For the last couple of days, I’ve been in the studio with Stevie Nicks doing a track with her.”

Asher seems so nonchalant about recording with Nicks that he may as well by talking about picking up his dry cleaning, but it’s just another testament to how many music legends he knows on a first-name basis.
