Lindsey Buckingham On Mark and Brian This Morning (Download The Interview)

Buckingham didn't actually confirm he's got a new album coming out this morning on Mark and Brian - but did say he "did not plan on recording another solo album" as he already carved out 3 years to put out his last two in 2006 and 2008. He also said he thinks the momentum was lost with Fleetwood Mac putting an album together after the Unleashed Tour - but they will probably get in the studio as Fleetwood Mac and record after everyone gets finished up with the next 10 months.

He also said....

  • Still would like to bring in another producer to help produce and to oversee the recording process if Fleetwood Mac record another album.
  • Talks about Christine McVie.... Says he speaks to her maybe once a year... Enjoys the current lineup of Fleetwood Mac because it allows him more freedom.
  • Has the Masters for Buckingham Nicks sitting in a room and it's more political inertia between Stevie and himself...says they are waiting to do something where an event can be created around the release, maybe tour together with Stevie.
  • Saturday Night Live... Hasn't seen it on TV but HAS heard about it, and saw it on Youtube - thinks it's funny... Bill Hader really has it down. Thinks it's a compliment that he was in the fabric.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM PREPARING NEW SOLO ALBUM

After seeing a recent tweet today regarding Lindsey Buckingham working on a new album, I decided to follow up and contact RACK ATTACK RENTALS to find out if there was any truth to what they said... Turns out... that information is FACT!  How cool is that!

"LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM prepares new solo album for release utilizing Apogee Converters from Rack Attack"

No information on when the planned release will be... or what direction Lindsey is heading in with his music... But it looks like Lindsey hasn't just been taking it easy since Fleetwood Mac got off the road last year... Looking forward to it!!

BILLY THORPE KEEP ROCKIN' Includes Mick Fleetwood Interview

MICK FLEETWOOD INTERVIEW FEATURED IN BILLY THORPE BOOK
'Keep Rockin' celebrates the legend and the life of Billy Thorpe in comprehensive style, with dozens of interviews - from people as diverse as Mick Fleetwood, Jimmy Barnes and Olivia Newton-John - as well as hundreds of photos, memorabilia, personal recollections from Lynn Thorpe, Billy's widow, and never-before-published material by Billy himself.

From Thorpie's early days as a child star in Brisbane to his meteoric rise with the Aztecs, his hard-rockin', hard-livin' Sunbury days and his phenomenal return to Australia in the nineties, Keep Rockin' is the definitive tribute to Billy Thorpe, as told by those who knew him best.

Billy Thorpe died suddenly on February 28 at the age of 60. One of Australia’s true rock legends, Thorpe was a teen star in the 60s before reinventing himself in the 70s with The Aztecs as one of Australia’s greatest live rock acts.

THE FLEETWOOD CONNECTION
From 1990, Thorpe collaborated with Mick Fleetwood (of Fleetwood Mac) and Bekka Bramlett in Fleetwood's side project, a band called The Zoo, which resulted in the "Shakin' the Cage" album and "Shakin' the Cage" single in March 1991. Thorpe had written all ten of the tracks, including two co-written with Bramlett. The Zoo went on tour in Australia in 1991.
