When Stevie Nicks asked her 15-year-old god-daughter to take part in her new music video – “playing me at 30, around the time I joined Fleetwood Mac” – the girl asked for a little direction. “So I told her to twirl, talk to yourself, make like you’re crazy, be me,” she says. “We put her in my vintage, evergreen tie-dye with my top hat. Oh, she looked so beautiful. My girlfriends laughed when we saw the dress. Were we ever that small? We must have been!”.....

Sweet Dreams - Stevie Nicks Interview

Back after a Decade

Stevie Nicks is back after a a decade - and it’s all thanks to Dave Stewart.

It’s been ten years since Stevie Nicks released a solo record. Now sixty-three, it seemed her fans would have to be content with seeing her on stage performing Fleetwood Mac hits.

But energised by a new creative partnership with ex-Eurythmic Dave Stewart, she’s put Fleetwood Mac on hold (temporarily) and says making ‘In Your Dreams’ was the best year of her life.

The rest of the abbreviated interview can be found on the Clash website.
The full version of this interview appears in the next issue of Clash Magazine, in shops 7th July 2011.

Also, on newstands now is The Word magazine that features an interview with Stevie Nicks.  The Word is a UK published magazine.

The August, 2011 issue of MoJo Music Magazine has a two page spread on "How To Buy Fleetwood Mac" The cover features Paul McCartney.

Hey Radio... "For What It's Worth" Is Worth Playing!

A clear sign that the 2nd single from the Stevie Nicks album 'In Your Dreams' has been issued to radio is the 4 ebay auctions currently running selling the 2 track promo discs.  These promo only discs are issued to radio stations and DJ's for consideration on their playlists... 'For What It's Worth' hopefully will start receiving some airplay across the USA. The 4 listings on ebay all include the album cut at 4:31 and an edit at 4:03, which shaves off 28 seconds from the album version. I'm curious as to what they shaved off. Possibly sacrificed is a large chunk of the intro where up to the point of the bell ringing is about 18 seconds.

I really hope radio gives this great track a chance!... It's right up there along the lines of Landslide as far as I'm concerned...A timeless piece of music.
