STEVIE NICKS Confirmed for Sept 7th Buddy Holly Concert

September 6th marks the date that Listen To Me: Buddy Holly a tribute album is released in which Stevie's remake of "Not Fade Away" appears. On September 7th - Buddy's Birthday - will be officially declared Buddy Holly Day in Los Angeles.  On this day Buddy will receive his first star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  That evening the celebration will moves to The Music Box in Hollywood for a special invitation-only concert and birthday party with special guest performances of Holly's music by many artists who have been influenced by and love Holly's music, as well as friends and family members from Holly's life. 

The concert event will be filmed in HD for a PBS special airing in December 2011. 

Artists confirmed include: Paul Anka, Michelle Branch, Chris Isaak, Lyle Lovett, Raul Malo, Graham Nash, Stevie Nicks, Boz Scaggs, Patrick Stump and more.

Lindsey Buckingham in Dublin Ireland December?

From the looks of it we have a Ireland/UK leg of the Seeds We Sow Tour coming together.  A December 15th date is showing up on Ticketmaster.ie first tweeted about by The Irish Times writer Jim Carroll.  So far it's listed as not an actual show (yet) but as a "Soundcheck" and also a listing for a Meet and Greet:

The December 19th London date that I've heard about could actually be true... Hope so!  This will be a first for Lindsey and something fans in the UK and Ireland have wanted for a long time.

Buckingham gone to seed? Not a chance. Like its predecessors, the Mac daddy’s superb sixth solo CD is a DIY affair, with LB layering his precise needlepoint fingerpicking and high-whispery vocals atop beatboxes, sparse instrumentation and home-studio sonics. Add some sharp folk-rock cuts about karma and you’ve got the best album Mac didn’t make this year. What up wit dat?
